Fragrant Souvenir from the Pharmacy
Anyone who thinks they will find a cure for their fragrance addiction at the pharmacy should be warned that it might only get worse there!
You go to the pharmacy to buy some tablets, maybe even a sedative, because your perfume addiction makes you restless and sleepless, and then you leave without any medication, but with a new fragrance :-(

Sounds like a fairy tale? Oh no, that is the mundane reality, which recently happened to me when I had no ill intentions.
I just wanted to briefly sniff the new Caudalie fragrance (since I was already there), when the pharmacist, smiling like a sphinx, asked if I was familiar with the new fragrances from Louis Widmer???
I had heard of them, as there are three absolutely allergen-free fragrances that naturally fit well in a pharmacy :-)

Well, the friendly pharmacist let me sniff all three fragrances, and it quickly became clear that the yellow one makes my heart race (although the other two are also quite nice and wearable!).
From the very first spray, I had a déjà vu experience; wow, one of my favorite scents from the 90s is coming through (which I still like very much), namely Cerruti 1881 pour Femme!
The top note is very fresh and has a slightly citrusy feel, although there are no citrus fruits included according to the fragrance pyramid.
Very soon, a lovely tea note becomes apparent, which is immediately joined by the freesia, and it remains present until the fragrance fades.
The jasmine is not dominant in this perfume but is finely woven with the freesias and the peach, which also does not show a strong presence.
Musk and woody notes round off the fragrance nicely, but also allow the wonderful tea, which smells light green in the cup, to take the lead.

When I wear this fragrance, I feel very refreshed, but not in a sour, aquatic, or sporty way, rather well-groomed and delicately enveloped.
The scent is very feminine, and I repeatedly recall the Cerruti fragrance, although here the tea comes into play, which clearly takes a leading role, yet does not take away from the fragrance's delicate floral quality.

Thus, my pharmacy visit was a complete success, not in terms of curing my fragrance addiction, but it led me to a beautiful summer scent that enriches my collection.
It should also be mentioned that the fragrance has very good longevity; I can still perceive it after hours, and without a doubt, it is the most beautiful tea scent I have ever owned!

The Hundred-Petaled Rose
The Rosa Centifolia is also known as the hundred-petaled rose, and when you look at the lush, thick heads of this rose variety, a hundred petals certainly seems no exaggeration.
The scent of this rose variety is wonderfully sweet and beautiful, and this has been perfectly captured in "Rose de Grasse" for me.

The rose here smells authentic and unadulterated; after a fresh, slightly powdery opening, its lush aroma unfolds immediately, which I associate in this case with a vibrant pink bloom; it is by no means a dark rose.
Later, a woody note comes into play, accompanying the rose until it has breathed out its fragrance.

Essentially, "Rose de Grasse" is simply structured, but that is precisely what makes its charm if you love the scent of roses as much as I do.
Of course, there are a variety of wonderful fragrances where the rose is finely interwoven with other flowers, but if the rose is to be the main attraction, this fragrance is the best choice.
I always feel transported to a romantic, somewhat old-fashioned rose garden when I wear this scent.
I settle down on a white park bench, surrounded by a tranquility that is only interrupted by the buzzing of bees feasting on the magnificent blooms; otherwise, there is nothing here to disturb this idyll.

"Rose de Grasse" is romantic, enchanting, and very feminine, with a long-lasting durability.
Simply a very good drop if you are ready for a full dose of roses and perhaps feel like wearing that flowing, pink dress that always earns you so many compliments!

The Compliment Catcher
For a few weeks now, I have been the proud owner of Parco Palladiano IV, as I was able to purchase a partially used bottle here at the Souk.
I haven't been able to test all the fragrances in this wonderful line yet, but among the three I know, this one is the absolute winner and at the same time a big surprise for me!

Surprise in the sense that vanilla scents have never ranked high on my popularity scale, as they simply seem too sweet to me.
Vanilla is predominantly associated with sweet things - desserts, cakes, cookies, and all sorts of other treats.
However, if you smell a vanilla pod, you will perceive the typical scent, but it is not sweet.

This became clear to me once again when I spoke with a spice seller shortly before Christmas, who offered a sea salt with vanilla, and I first asked him how this works together and what it could be used for.
He offered it to me to try and pointed out that vanilla in its natural form is not sweet at all, and he is absolutely right; the combination of salt and vanilla convinced me and now has a place in my kitchen.

But what does this have to do with this fragrance?
A lot, because the fact that I could spontaneously get excited about it also has to do with the fact that the vanilla here comes across very fine, almost a bit bitter, and absolutely not sweet.
In combination with the azalea, it creates a wonderfully creamy scent that is not sweet, yet soft and enveloping.
The chestnut in the fragrance pyramid puzzles me a bit, as I have never perceived a scent from a chestnut that has stayed in my memory.
I can only speculate that the slightly bitter note with which the fragrance always greets me is attributable to the chestnut.

Regarding longevity, it can be said that it is quite good, but the fragrance is never intrusive; rather, it is a soft, delicate cloud.
I thought at first that it wouldn't last too long, but since I am often approached hours after spraying it, it is indeed quite perceptible for a long time.

In any case, this Palladiano is an absolute feel-good fragrance that brings me compliments time and again, and for the first time in my life, I wear a fragrance with joy and enthusiasm where vanilla is in the foreground.

The Soul Comforter
This week has not been particularly rosy for me; a relatively complicated jaw surgery took a toll on me, and I was not exactly in top form emotionally.
Temporarily, I lost joy in everything that usually brings me pleasure, as I felt very weak and tired for days.

So I needed a soul comforter in the form of a fragrance, something light and refreshing, just a hint of positive energy to lift my spirits.

Recently, I discovered the series "The Ritual of Dao" for such days and, of course, for much happier ones as well.
Thanks to a very nice saleswoman at Rituals, who asked me before making a selection whether I needed something invigorating or something for relaxation, the choice quickly fell on the green series.
The delicate scent of the lotus flower immediately gave me the feeling that this was the ideal fragrance for unwinding and relaxing.

Since I bought it during a short trip, it spent a few days in my suitcase before I first sprayed it on one of the hot days in September.
After breakfast, I took a stroll in the spa town where I was staying at the time, heading to a beautiful saline that is dome-shaped and located in the middle of a park.
I sat down on a bench overlooking the misty site, and then the delicate, fresh scent wafted up to me, and I found this moment of tranquility to be almost spiritual!
I rarely say or feel such things, as I am a very realistic person and sometimes find it hard to relate to the moods that others describe as spiritual experiences.

At that moment, it was clear to me that this fragrance can absolutely contribute to my relaxation with its simplicity and delicacy and its subtly green freshness.
By now, almost the entire care series has moved in with me, and this week, for the reasons mentioned above, it was once again time for me to use this miracle weapon against my bad mood, and it worked again!
Throughout the day, I had to keep sniffing my skin; I practically inhaled the scent and found it calming and stress-relieving once more.

Sometimes I just spray it in the air or on my pillow, and it works excellently for that too!

Now it has been a week since the surgery, and I already feel noticeably better today, but it is a comforting feeling that the green soul comforter is always within reach....!

An Oasis in the Desert
It is a very hot day, the caravan is moving through the desert, there is not a shadow-casting tree in sight and the strength is slowly fading.....!
But then suddenly an oasis comes into view, or is it just an illusion?

No, it is reality, green palms frame a deep blue body of water, the scene is of an almost surreal beauty.
The exhausted travelers encounter more people here, who greet them warmly and immediately offer them a wonderfully fragrant mint tea, which they gratefully accept.

I can't help but get such associations when I wear Parco Palladiano III.
The whole thing could take place in a garden by the Nile or in a beautiful courtyard in Morocco; in my mind's eye, I definitely see palms and water and feel a peaceful atmosphere full of calm and relaxation.
Fountains gurgle softly, colorful flowers outdo each other in their beauty, and a canopy of green leaves hovers above everything.
No unwanted sound disturbs this peaceful mood.

The mint, which opens with its green freshness, gradually gives way to a softer, still very fresh scent that also embodies the color green.
It is a freshness that is far removed from any aquatic, piercing scents; rather, it feels very natural and reminds me of the Moroccan mint tea that I love to drink because it tastes a bit fresher than regular mint and smells even better.
However, throughout the entire scent journey, I do not find the pear; it could at best be an unripe pear, as I cannot recognize the sweet juiciness of a ripe yellow pear at any point.

Parco Palladiano III is definitely a wonderful refresher for hot days and absolutely unisex.
On cooler days, I can't imagine it as well, but it surely depends on a try; as a mood lifter, it definitely does a good job......!
