green spicy bomb
Even simple in the description of the ingredients, Antaeus opens with well spiced green notes with one drop of bergamot which does not linger too long.. After the bergamot leaves the room, the coriander accompanied by parsley and thymian are making themselves visible in a dense cloud of resins/myrrhe. The middle of the perfume tends to be quite animalic, probably due to jasmine but rose completes the jasmine and the leather accords perfectly. The base is a good layer of oakmoss, patchouli and labdanum, ingredients that give the perfume a good longevity but no longer the bestie that used to be when launched but still going to 6-8H of good sillage. (recensions on the first formulas say it used to be a beastie)

Scent
violet cloud of musk
I would describe Appolonia as a soft scarf, made of the highest quality of Cashmir being clean and recomforting. The opening is 100% powdery and elegant but not too long after we are getting the creamy intense smell of white flowers perfectly combined with iris and violets. The scent is extremely delicate and clean but very captivating and seducing.

Arabic souq in one bottle
I want to say how unique I find it but is not, and still kind of unique and even I love it. I have with Memoir the toxic back and forth relation…I love it but I do not wear it and then I wear it but somehow is not the moment. Silage is stunning and it almost has a disappear-reappear quality to it like Arabian attars have. Seductive and mysterious, warm and sensual, a very good blend of smoke, incense and rose, lots of spices, exactly as it smells in one Arabic souq, intoxicating and addictive, at one point even balsamic notes, from many points of view, quite similar to Poison.

Scent
sweet but not gourmandy
Everytime I wear it , many people notice it and compliments me for how amazing I smell. This is not a gourmand but somehow sexy on me,it is very elegant and is romantic in a maternal sort of way. This is a powdery amber vanilla scent that is sweet but not Pink Sugar sweet. Just right imo. The rose isn’t that prominent to me, and we definitely smell the fruity touch from the pear and black currant. I think this is “well blended” in the sense that you can’t smell a harsh transition from opening to the drydown. A warm, securing embrace by a large and fancy lady who is sweet and soft but also strong and supportive.
I was disappointed when I heard the news that this is discontinued....

Scent
delicate feminine sublime
A fresh spring floral fragrance where the freesia is the queen. Well is more of a princess since the projection is around 30 mins and the longevity maybe around 4 hours but despite all this remains my favourite from Dior.
All day classic, not cloying or overwhelming, I would say is a pure airy floral casual scent that I would wear on a light dress on a sunny sea front. Ideal for warm spring days. If I should associate it with a colour would be defenately a light/powdery pink.
