Nothing new and yet special!
I only discovered this fragrance for myself last year and love it, as well as almost all the flankers. Unfortunately, I can't buy all the fragrances I like, so I bought a fragrance twin in addition to my bottling.

This made me realize how high-quality and well-crafted the original fragrance is. Yes, you can create a twin quite well - but neither the light acidity of the top note nor the subtle teenage note in the heart come across as well as in the original.

I can smell many of the specified notes well, in fact the fragrance pyramid only contains notes that I like. The acidity at the beginning gives way relatively quickly to the floral heart, which is complemented exceptionally well by the aforementioned teen note. The base is more cashmeran-heavy, which of course you have to like. Unfortunately, it doesn't last very long on my skin, but I can get over that, as it is the cheapest fragrance in the Born in Roma range.

Interesting flanker
Chloé (2007) has been my signature fragrance since its release. Of course, you have to like roses, otherwise you don't even need to look at the series. And since I love the original and love mandarin, I thought that Rose Tangerine would be the perfect blind buy candidate. Note to self: better no blindbuys - for me personally there's some slight off note in there.

The fragrance is really not bad and in principle you get exactly what it says on the tin. The Chloé DNA is there, but the fragrance is much less sweet than expected. As already well described in another review, the Rose Tangerine has a much more tart note. I would actually have liked it to be a little fruitier, but that in turn might have made it seem too youthful and playful. As it is, I find it to be more of a sophisticated spring fragrance or a suitable scent for summer evenings.

The tart mandarin note lasts a good two hours for me before it fades into the background and the fragrance becomes floral as usual. I find the longevity and sillage to be very good overall, I can feel the fragrance on me all day long. However, I will probably always buy the original.

Exciting!
I always thought that I didn't like Chanel fragrances. Too old-fashioned, too musty, too overpowering. However, when I was looking for a "cashmere blanket fragrance" in the forum, Beige was suggested to me, so Chanel was given another chance.

The bottle I ordered arrived and of course I had to test it immediately - oh God, I was afraid. Intrusively floral, smells like grandma. But when the top note faded (quite quickly), things got interesting. The white flowers could still be clearly smelled, but now without the old-fashioned touch. Something clean is mixed in, like a hint of powder detergent. It doesn't sound that great, but it works. I can only detect a honey note much later and only subtly.

I have since tested it again and have come to the same conclusion. The top note is not my cup of tea, but the rest smells clean, classy and floral. Despite everything, I find Beige to be relatively strong, which is why it is not a "cashmere blanket fragrance" for me - nevertheless, it is a pleasant fragrance that I will certainly wear from time to time.

It doesn't happen that often...
...that a perfume can knock me off my feet like this. There are many fragrances that I think are great, but very few that are so special. Where everything is just right. Hibiscus Palm by Aerin is one of them. I love floral fragrances anyway, but white flowers + coconut + vanilla? Yep!

I think you can spray a little more generously here. The scent isn't super loud, but it doesn't disappear either because it's so delicate.

I detect an astonishing number of the specified fragrance notes, especially the flowers and musk. Coconut and vanilla can also be detected without being too overpowering. To me, Hibiscus Palm smells like a summer vacation. Not necessarily like the beach, but like restaurants on the promenade and sunsets. Not literally, of course. A very beautiful fragrance that ends up in my top 10.

With expensive sunscreen, I go with...
Now I'm writing my first review about such a well-known and popular fragrance, as if enough people hadn't already added their two cents.

I was able to test the fragrance properly for the first time today (I can't do that in perfumeries, my nose is overwhelmed) and I'm in love. It really does smell as expensive as it is. Right at the beginning, white flowers mix with tonka, it smells flowery, creamy and slightly sweet. I don't really notice the bergamot in the top note. After about two hours, the fragrance becomes noticeably less intense for me, and after six hours I would describe it as close to the skin. With my untrained nose, I also find the progression to be rather linear, but that's not a bad thing. I think it can be dosed sparingly, but would prefer to spray again at midday.

Soleil Blanc really is a perfect summer fragrance and - I didn't think this was possible - it doesn't contain any coconut at all.
