Of Volcanoes, Churches, and Soft Tuff Stone
When I found a padded envelope during my walk to the mailbox today, I was initially a bit surprised. It couldn't be a Sharingpost or a sample from a souk, as I'm not expecting anything at the moment?
Aaaahh, I had participated in the Parfumo giveaway, so it seems I count among the lucky winners!
Of course, I immediately unwrapped the sample and, being the curious person I am, sprayed it right away.

Wow, now that’s what I call a loud start!
With the force of a volcanic eruption from the Cappadocian landscape, spicy saffron rises to my nose, almost more sharp than sweet.

A few minutes later, I smell a distinct leather note, even though leather is not listed in the pyramid.

In the drydown, the previously rather fiery scent develops a coolness dominated by incense and myrrh, as if one were inside one of the numerous churches created by the inhabitants of Cappadocia in the soft tuff stone of the area during the early Christian era.

As it progresses, the fragrance gains softness and ends in incredibly soft, creamy, and slightly rosy sandalwood with a pleasant, but for me, not at all gourmand sweetness.

If I were to compare it to familiar scents, it starts with a hint of "5 - Floral, Amber, Sensual Musk | Rosendo Mateu - Olfactive Expressions," takes a short breather with Vanagloria in the church, and then gently snuggles up with the positive aspects of "Guidance | Amouage" on the sofa.

My conclusion - I am truly thrilled!
The start is a bit too loud for my personal taste, but after the first ten minutes, I find it beautiful, present, creamy, and pleasant.

For me, it’s definitely a fragrance I would add to my collection.
