Giving headaches and disappointments

I love gourmands but sometimes, all I get is a headache... something from it is too much for me, super off putting.

Smells like a creamy/ and sour green apple, but I also get wine from it? has a very spicy and warm cinnamony background.

I've tried the "jany sora dora" right before and this one felt like a downfall, not good to me...

I want to love it

I’m still unsure of this one. The bottle is phenomenal. Absolutely stunning! I love how much effort they put into designing this.

When I first sprayed this, it immediately reminded me of hairspray. After a minute or so it develops into a fresh apple, cinnamon and vanilla scent. As it drys down further I can still smell the top notes in the background, but I now get some warm, almost creamy cocoa and a hint of cedar. It then develops into a cinnamon, vanilla, cocoa. The dry down is gorgeous but the apple note remains throughout and I really struggle most with that note. This is a fresh, crisp apple fragrance. The cocoa and toffee are in the background. This is a fruity, sweet, gourmand fragrance with a slight creamy vibe. I get no lactonic notes what so ever. I feel this would be best suited to cool sunny days, autumn or winter. I think this would be overbearingly sickening in the heat of summer. This would make the perfect Halloween/pumpkin season fragrance.

I’d still rate it 8/10 because this is a high quality fragrance that I really want to love, but for my personal taste it’s a 4/10 as I guess I’ve discovered apple notes just aren’t for me. This perfume does layer really well with other gourmand toffee and caramel scents. I paired it with Tempt Me Not from Navitus to tone down the apple, which made it more bearable for me, but Im still undecided on this one. Sadly this will likely be another expensive mistake for the chopping block.

Almost leaves an impression

Crisp red apple whisked into the fluffiest of white musks. I can see why people love this. It renders apple pie in an admirably light, fresh form. My only problems with this are two. First, the apple note never smells less than a synthetic recreation of apple, in the same way that apple-scented shampoo or body lotion does. The accord is undeniably pleasant but you are never less than aware that this is not a smell derived from nature. And this awareness is what breaks the fourth wall.

Second, I am of the opinion that if you are going to render apple pie in perfume form, then at least some of that vanilla and cinnamon had better show their face. Here, though I do understand the brief was for the perfume to be as airy as a dance of butterflies, it is the foamy ocean of white musk molecules that dominates, making it feel a little like that first chug from a glass of water into which you’ve just dropped an Alka-Seltzer tablet, i.e., somehow both powdery and wet. Again, it is pleasant and eminently wearable, but there are no real points of interest. Possibly the worst thing one can say about a perfume is that it is not memorable, and La Danza delle Libellule just hits that line for me.

Gourmand for the Summer

Gourmand lovers rejoice--you finally have a summer frag!

One of the other reviewers said they "only smell apple" and no vanilla in this one. However, I am the exact opposite. I was shocked to see apple and bergamot in the notes. For me, this is all creamy, smooth, buttery cake.

Now that I've become aware of the apple and bergamot, I love it even more. I can see why this fragrance has such a fresh and non-cloying aroma--because it's balanced out by a gentle acidity. Even though all I perceive is sweetness, it's not an overwhelming or sticky smell. I continue to want to sniff it as it dries down.

I think this would make a great wedding fragrance for a bride. Or just a unique signature scent. Vanilla is common, but this one stands out.

This is just so nice. The bottle is gorgeous too (the picture here doesn't do it justice). Give this one a try!

Comforting Apple Pie in a Golden Bottle

Green apple vanilla cake. That is what comes to mind when smelling the first sprays from La Danza delle Libellule. I can almost taste my mother's apple pie with Polish crumble batter. The crunchy sugar, hint of cinnamon and the pie being fully cooled down. And that's a funny detail about this fragrance, it is very specific smelling like cooled down apple pie rather than a hot one straight from the oven.

Close to skin, La Danza delle Libellule smells less like a cake and more of green apple. I am at a loss for words to describe the scent in any more specific detail.

On paper, the fragrance is like that of a crumbleless apple pie meaning that the baked apple and cinnamon is there, but without the doughie sweetness and warmth. It smells like a delicious homemade applesauce! This is only for the gourmand lovers for sure! And I also find it to be a scent for special occasions unless you don't mind smelling like apple cake in your day-to-day. This one is for the sunny days in the garden, for the picnic in the park, for the cosy cottage stays.

To those of you who haven't tasted my mother's apple pie (which is probably all of you) La Danza delle Libellule smells of cooked apples that are half made of sweet baking apples like that of Discovery and half of sour and fresh Braeburn apples. The apples are in a delicious and perfect balance of sweet, fresh and sour. A pinch of cinnamon only alludes to the spice being used. The crumble is made with a little sour cream unlike many other recipes that only use sugar, flour and butter giving it a wonderful texture.
Baked with love at 220 degrees celsius. Have I painted you a picture yet?

La Danza delle Libellule is a mouthwatering fruity gourmand fragrance that will endear any heart unless you do not want to smell like pie and you will.

I usually don't mention this, but the atomiser is top tier too. I am so happy to have added this to my collection.
