A Peek Inside an Elks Lodge
(my batch was made in 2020, according to checkfresh) - This scent is In. Sane. I was alive when it came out, but I have no memory of anyone smelling like this in my youth. I did the smallest spritz inside my elbow, and it is reaching into my nose and behind my eyes. Soap or shaving cream. Cigarette AND cigar smoke. Mint gum. When I close my eyes I see the inside of an Elks lodge or Masons club. I would love to hug an elderly man wearing this. Can I possibly carry it off? I like assertive 1980s scents for women, but I may have bitten off more than I can chew here. Each time I unbend my arm a new wave of the scent rolls toward me. Now I am getting some fruit - smells like oranges. What a scent journey. This is my most complex scent by far. So many new visuals coming to mind every time I sniff it. Wooden boxes. Wood paneling. Smoke-tinged upholstery.

Sweet and Spicy. Hard to Pin Down
This is a like and not a love because I am now picky about my Lattafa offerings. If I detect a mashup of previous releases I find it uninspired. The spices in this one don’t come across as pimento and cardamom but Khamrah and a little Petra. Maybe it’s a scent molecule meant to amp up the power, because this scratches my brain the same way PDM Valaya does. So I would have guessed aldehydes are a note.

There is something smoky and waxy like a crayon to my nose once this is on my skin. I get vanilla and caramel. I get sweetness so I will call that the Amber. The “power” I will designate to the musk. It is a nice-smelling perfume, and I get a lovely sillage. Found for $29.99 at TJ Maxx in Jan 2026.

Soapy and Assertive
This review is for Mileston Mouj Affection. It is one of my favorites. It has a fresh, soapy quality. When I sniff the cap now, after a year of owning it, the grape smell is forefront. My guess is this is methyl anthranilate. That molecule is in a fair share of my fragrance made in the UAE (like Amaran Oxana Rouge, a very sweet BR540 clone). Performance is strong. Possibly a little heavy in the Summer heat but good year-round otherwise. This is suited for day and appropriate for work. I view it as unisex but the strength lends itself to the trend of men wearing assertive scents.

Not Getting its Due
I do not understand why the reviews do not match what I smell (no gummy bears, no cough syrup), and I do not understand why patchouli is not listed here and not mentioned in the reviews. It is what makes this scent distinctive to me. The sillage is lovely, and it is pleasant. I love Jasmine in perfumes, and that note comes through here. Not “florals” but Jasmine. On the other site they mention rose. I heard Parfumo has the accurate (company’s) notes not some crowd suggestion, but in this instance I think it is lacking. What is listed here seems inaccurate to what I smell as do the reviews. Anyhow, I discovered it this summer, and it performed well in the heat. I will keep wearing it in the winter since it is an easy reach. Delights me each time.

Rosy and Cozy
This one is sophistication. Discovered it Fall 2025. I am not familiar with Mind Games J’adoube, but that note breakdown seems to fit how this one smells. I get the bright fruits at the top holding hands with a strong rose, and then the leather comes in, which combined with the rose makes it tangy. Not sure I get the patchouli or how it plays a part, but I love scents with patchouli.
