Who? Where? What? How?
That's exactly what I ask myself every time I smell it. I don't understand it.
If someone had told me two years ago that I would say something like this about a perfume, I would have laughed. Back then, I wasn't interested in this topic and never understood these statements, and until recently, I also didn't understand how one could not understand a scent.
But then came Amabile...lovely...and...I don't understand it.
That's something positive about the fragrance. It taught me that one cannot understand a scent.

Overstimulation. At first, I smell a lot and yet nothing at all. Apart from apple, I only recognize a jumble. Which direction is this going? No idea.

Well, let's wait and see...
After a while, I smell...wait a moment...is that shisha tobacco? Yes!
That's exactly what I smell! Apple tobacco, which just gets weaker over time.

Unfortunately, it's not for me at all.
Maybe I just need to understand it to like it.

So I won't give it the label "Amabile."

A Day in Mexico...
The packaging already shows us two quotes. One from the perfumer about the composition of the fragrance and one about Mexico City.
The city is described as energetic, limitless, and universal.

Admittedly, I have (not) yet been to Mexico City, but it is known to be a city whose size we cannot even begin to comprehend in Europe. Surely, this alone makes it a restless, hectic contemporary.

The fragrance initially radiates hustle and bustle, but I find that this is exactly why it fits into this loud, warm environment. It is definitely a summer scent that clearly brings with it "a colorful cocktail of strawberry and rhubarb [...] contemporary green-woody freshness." One thinks of ice cream, cocktails, joy, vacation, beach... a beach party in Cancún or a Saturday evening dinner with friends in Mexico City's trendiest spot.

Striking? Yes
Obtrusive? No.
Does this contradict itself? Not necessarily.

While a mix of fruits hits the nose at first, this "green-woody freshness" calms the loud city over time. It becomes less urban and more rural, more contemplative.
One could almost say that the day is drawing to a close, one relaxes a little, perhaps enjoys nature in the park one walks through on the way home, before collapsing into bed, exhausted but happy.

Overall, a successful creation.
