Manege Rouge 540
One of the cheekier imitators of the well-known Baccarat Rouge 540 (Extrait). Here we don't even use flimsy synonyms, so that even the last person knows which fragrance it is supposed to come close to. The presentation has convinced me on the photos, in reality unfortunately disappointed me.

The box is in a rich red colour with gold stamped letters. Inside is a red/gold can, which in turn contains the bottle. The word "Manege" probably refers to the circus carousel and the lid is supposed to imitate this with its golden pom-poms. On photos it looks pretty cool and pompous, but it is made of plastic and feels cheap. The permanent jingling has something of Christmas tree balls. Good thinking, bad acting. It's almost too embarrassing for the shelf. They should have used more of the rich red of the box or handy plastic of the can

In terms of fragrance, it lies between BR540 Perfume and Extrait, but doesn't dare to be as much as Extrait. It lacks a quantum of this medicinal spiciness and I can't smell the oak that is indicated. It just bangs in with cotton candy and lasts relatively long - but not as long as the perfume or extract. In direct comparison, it is estimated to be half as intense after 4 hours. That is of course still enough to attract attention. But since it's not really cheap for an almost pure Dupe (60€ for 75ML), I would have expected more.

Conclusion: Savings foxes prefer to use the well-known cloud and everyone else to use Extrait.
