A pearl from the orient

A letter, a message from the East, which immediately transports you by smell to rich Arabian atmospheres.
Resala, Arabic for "letter" precisely, is a full-bodied, decisive fragrance that envelops and warms you.
It opens powerfully with saffron and oud, and shortly afterwards rose takes over to compose the perfect triad.
It is not the usual rose-oud-saffron, however, because within a scant 1 hour a delicious dark chocolate begins to take over, making Resala unique.
The finish is equally noteworthy and features a very good vanilla.
Now I understand why it has been out of stock for ages!
I'm so glad I snagged it at a great price.

Vanilla Rose Chocolate Saffron and Sandalwood with 1 year Longevity

The discovery of this fragrance was different from my typical store stroll. The atmosphere of the Arabian Oud shop on the Champs-Élysées is great. I loved the direct approach of the personnel too: I was given a lot of different fragrance to smell in a short time without a lot of fuss about philosophy. Despite me being a lover of narrative and story-telling in the context of fragrances, that's exactly what I was expecting from the brand: an easy to navigate repertoire with strong, statement-making fragrances. The offerings I was given were a bit similar to one another despite the fact that I was told that Resala was "different" and "on its own" but I must say I loved all of them and all of these different shades of Vanilla.
Resala is a bomb of sweet sandalwood (I don't talk much about vanilla because if you're a fan of the brand you know it's pretty much all over the place) with a strong siding of Rose for a very "prestigious" yet not-feminine effect, fantastic! There is saffron of course and the vanilla is sided with chocolate for just a different touch from the rest as mentioned. I don't think there is too much Oud here. The fragrance is a bit similar and redundant if you own the others like Aseel, Rosewood etc main differentiation being that Resala feels way more damp in comparison to the very dry Rosewood. It's on the same track of Intense cafe OG and Ristretto, an over-powered Starry Nights, Delox by Tiz. Ter. but with a very very special effect.

Smells like a clean middle-eastern mall

I blind bought Resala after watching a few recommendations online and was keen to explore Arabian Oud as a brand. The presentation is very classy and I got this at a decent price on offer. I must say when I first smelt it as someone who's new to Middle Eastern fragrances I thought it was overhyped and I was a little disappointed. It reminds me of a clean shopping mall in Dubai which is nice but not the sort of scent I'd usually rock. After a few wears I started to enjoy it and its definitely a LOUD fragrance that will draw compliments. The longevity and performance are both excellent. The presentation and the bottle are excellent, albeit not very practical for travelling. The oud/saffron is not for everyone which is why I wouldn't recommend it as a blind-buy unless you are into the whole saffron/oud/middle eastern notes or you're looking to get into Middle Eastern perfumery. Unisex but leans masculine. A little pricey but if you can get a deal on it and pay something in the £100-130 mark then it's absolutely worth it. For it's RRP price I'd go for something else like Hacivat or PDM Carlisle personally.

Ich habe den Duft in New York entdeckt und direkt zugeschlagen. Wunderschöner Rose oud Duft mit einer unvergleichlichen Vanille Schokoladen Kombination. Der Duft ist ein extrem verführerischer süßer und orientalischer Duft, den man bei einem Date oder einem anderen sinnlichen Anlass auftragen kann.

Magnifique

Magnifique odeur de oud/chocolat, l'odeur est exquise, très bon sillage et longévité juste énorme, si vous aimez les senteurs gourmande vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés, j'ai énormément de compliments quand le le porte !
