Italian All The Way....
To The Finish Line.
This is another rare instance, like Jaguar Gold Edition, where car manufacturers release stellar, long lasting fragrances and sell them for pennies. Thank You Ferrari.
This is Similar to Azarro Visit and Bella Notte by Cerruti---Only musky up front--initially almost oudy and pungent in character with some spices for flair, then settling down to woods, powders and a vanilla coconut that hums and lacks alot of sweetness. No doubt, it's Italian, with that Felce Azzura, musky, powdery vibe going on.
Like driving a Ferrari, this fragrance is an exhilarating experience. I am imagining, one swipe from a jungle oudh would send this Ferrari into redline and go from silver to take the gold, no doubt.
It is discontinued and relatively pricier now, but well worth the price if you can still get it under a $100.00.

Desire Black Dunhill
Well, Black has kind of a muddled dirtyness about it. A somewhat linear, soapy, night time, green scent. It seems to try to be a powerhouse classic, but it also seems to excel for coy originality. Black seems to hastily stumble with a limited budget and fall up the stairs, trying to produce originality. I don't get too much of any of the notes listed, but a slightly nauseating, pickely, peppery amber. It just might layer well with other frags. Longevity and sillage are really not to bad though!
Darkness aside.
First off, lots of mysore-like sandalwood, smokey iso E and vetiver concretes. Plays back and forth between the two (sandal/vetiver). I can see layering with something like Moschino-Toy Boy(an added rose would be very welcoming).
Longevity is pretty minimal--maybe two hours and then the drydown(skin scent) is just woody Iso E.
If you like alot of vetiver and sandal, then you win.
For $35 it is a decent layering tool.
