The Other Tom Ford TV
In the constant search for the nearly perfect tobacco fragrance, my favorites so far are Herod, Tom Ford TV and Naxos. Today I got the opportunity to sniff this extraordinary fragrance of Olfatto.

This scent starts out loud with vanilla, cigar and a lot of spices. First and foremost, I perceive clove. This is an Extrait De Parfum and you can tell. Dominant, bold and present.
After the drydown, tobacco and vanilla continue to be strongly in the foreground and the spices withdraw (slightly). So it remains for the next few hours. The projection is in the midfield and is not intrusive. Unlike some other fragrances, this one remains always perceptible even to myself, although it becomes increasingly fine and rounded.
I feel partially transferred to Belgium, in the beautiful city of Bruges and there in "my" Jerry's Cigar Bar.
Then suddenly it smells like a sterile dental office.
You really can not talk about boring with this fragrance and I feel it similar to TF Tobacco Vanilla. Unlike the TV, which smells like pipe tobacco, this one is clearly more reminiscent of a fine Cuban cigar like my beloved Robusto by Cohiba, but with much more spice and vanilla.
I'll keep sniffing and dreaming for a bit, but fear this scent will be moving in with me soon. Autumn is on its way and it is splendidly suited for that. Although declared as a unisex fragrance, it tends more in the masculine direction of oriental fragrances sweeter nature loving gentlemen.

Cigar in perfection
Based on the high ratings, I ordered it blind and was not disappointed.
Directly when spraying on I feel transferred back in Jerry`s Cigarbar in the beautiful city of Bruges. An insider tip for cigar lovers!

I'm currently wearing it layered with two spritzes of Tom Ford Tobacco Vanilla and am intrigued. At the moment for me very difficult to top.

A fragrance for fans of woody scents. Wonderful development and very good durability with me.
When spraying on pepper, orange and rose. After an hour fantastic woody aromas with a little vanilla. Great finish and with me the next morning still perceptible. Reminds after three hours extremely Terre EDP with a little more vetiver.

Motivated by woody scents, most notably Terre and the arguably still highly underrated Oxford, I ordered this fragrance based on the reviews without having tested it beforehand.
When spraying on images arise in the head, on which Lucifer appears in hellfire. A scent reminiscent of burnt forest and ground. Extremely dark, evil and terrifying. Highly irritating and disturbing. Belongs more in the niche scent corner, a long-suffering nose as a prerequisite. My goodness, what is that? What has Nathalie Lorson experienced to create such a fragrance?
Ignoring the scent better for some time, I dared to approach again after about an hour. A scent of cypress and incense appeared. As if the dead forest rears up and wants back to life. Does Lucifer want to burn down the churches now? Oh, dear, the imagery. Rarely has a scent aroused such emotions.
Again a little later it turns to powdery, skin-like scents with vetiver and again incense with resins.
Not a fragrance for the masses! Not a fragrance for grandma's sweetheart! Not a fragrance for sycophants! No fragrance for compliment addicts!
But it is a fragrance for individualists! Hate me .... love me .... I couldn't care less! Get out of the way! The bad boy fragrance for real men. Completely freed from anything that loosens up. No fruit. Instead fear and a very special and extraordinary fragrance for a handful of men, which you certainly do not have to smell at every corner.

The monster!
In the search for MY fragrance I have already tested a lot of fragrances, but as the saying goes .... "I have licked a lot of things - but nothing I liked so much".
During my search I always had the smell in my head that I must have saved over thirty years ago. My mother and I wanted to stop my father from smoking cigarettes and for Christmas we gave him a high-quality pipe with very good tobacco. That didn't help much, because after a few attempts he started smoking cigarettes again and the Christmas present was in the drawer. Not for long, because I took it with me into my children's room and converted the tobacco into a room scent. Wonderful smell of vanilla, tobacco, plum and healer world.
Now I knew that the basic scent must be tobacco. A lot of smells, mostly too sharp, too dry, one-dimensional, ....... and above all much too short-lived. Then the day before yesterday my Parfums de Marly Herod arrived, which I bought blindly following the descriptions in the forum. Most of the fragrances from my blind purchases could be found afterwards on ebay. But not Herod. So far great ........... BUT ...
Today came my sample Tom Ford Tobacco Vanilla ........ and what should I write ......... a monster, a grenade, a nose bomb ..... an experience
Two hours ago, I sprayed a mini-spray on the back of my hand and the scent of ..... I have rarely been allowed to smell this intensity. But where was my tobacco? About thirty minutes went by, the clove was slowly disappearing and vanilla with a hint of tobacco appeared. Beautiful transition and good sillage. On my right wrist I wear Herod and have the direct comparison. Wonderful! An hour later the raised dried fruit appeared. This potency is impressive and not for the faint-hearted. This scent is present, potent and superficial and screams: Here I am! Love me, or hate me ... I don't care!
Conclusion: A fragrance that no collection should be without. Wonderful fragrance development, good sillage and (so far) very long-lasting and present. Places itself strikingly in the foreground and gives Herod hardly a chance to please. I think the perfect fragrance would be Herod with 30% Tobacco Vanilla, because Herod is clearly better at tobacco. Tobacco Vanilla can do the rest but fantastic and clearly stronger. Welcome to my world Mr. Ford!
