Review L’Homme Ideal
This is the kind of fragrance I’ve been looking for. Masculine, has bergamot, sandalwood, Bulgarian rose, and vanilla. The concoction makes a beautiful Parfum.
It’s suitable for all occasions and all seasons. It reminds of the old days when my father used to put manly colognes and made me fall in love with the world of perfumery.

Review - Stronger with you Intensely
Right off the bat I can smell the vanilla and chestnut. Its beautiful. The lavender shows up in the middle and the sage is muted. This is definitely a fragrance for any occasion. Work, occasion, pleasure. It’s different than most Armani’s in that it’s not citrusy. I haven’t used Armani fragrances in years so this concept is new to me. I’m ok adjusting to this new reality.
Zestina Review
This is a reddish orange colored Oud. It smells like a Crassna. The opening is of bright lucious tangerine and bitter orange. It’s sweet but not overly sweet. It has complex scent profiles to it where the base smells like leather, anpricot, and dried figs at the same time. I would say this is similar to a Trat Thai Oud. The fruitiness is more pronounced here than the spiciness usual of a Trat. All in all, it’s a different type of oud from EO. Dare I say: “more commercial”. But it’s good as it has that EO seal of approval. Would be good to layer it with a Khao Yai for the roundness as an experiment. But that’s for another time.
It’s ambery
It begins as ambery as it can get. Feels synthetic though. I’ve been used to having natural parfums that it must have affected my sense of smell. But this fragrance smells good. I’m also heyting notes of vanilla. All of Serge Lutens’ fragrances are linear with no depth or complexity. This can appeal to some but not myself unfortunately. I prefer complex interactions and ingredients playing off each other. Here, it’s just the ingredients as the main show.
We found a winner!
After exhausting the discovery set and being quite frankly disappointed, I found a fragrance I like (but don’t love). That is Santal Majuscule. I’m getting a saline strong sandalwood note that’s synthetic. For some reason I keep smelling animalic notes in all of serge Lutens fragrances. This one is perfect for the summer and spring and unisex.
