Girls at the peony stand
The sweet intro of Pivoine Suzhou scared me a little at first...., but after a while, patchouli, peony and something raspberry are added. Certainly an absolute summer fragrance that sprays too much sweetness in winter. I bought the perfume, not because I liked the first spritz, but because I found the packaging simply irresistible. With my penchant for all things Far Eastern, I was immediately electrified when I saw this perfume on the shelf: the Chinese characters on the cream-colored box, the angular bottle inside, topped with this piano lacquer black cap reminiscent of a rare stone. Wow, what looks so wonderful on the outside must also smell wonderful, I thought...I just wanted to have this "thing", I wanted to get hold of it, own it, put it up, look at it, immerse myself in fantasies...and so I did. It took me a long time to get to grips with this fragrance. It's kind of difficult. I think because of the initial super-sweetness. With a little patience, however, it eventually develops something like a pleasant floral cloud. Very special and later even powdery and actually tangerine-like. I wouldn't associate it with China and certainly not with the Chinese Suzhou gardens, it has nothing fresh or green about it. Perhaps with a peony stand and a young girl standing in front of it with wide eyes, admiring this pink splendor.
Conclusion: Brilliant packaging, but a little overpriced for what it is.

Peach and apricot tulle-colored joy
Light-hearted, gentle and carefree...I wake up and feel the first rays of sunshine of the day...a walk through the city, yes, that's what I'm doing today...a cup of Assam in the little teahouse, a little stroll through the little galleries of the city...which city?, doesn't matter, the main thing is to stroll through the day free and unbound. I'm wearing a short silk dress in warm colors and cowboy boots. They've been with me for over 15 years - sand-colored suede. They are actually inconspicuous but still give me something rebellious on the days I slip them on; perhaps more of a hint of rebellion. But that's enough. In any case, they put me in a good mood. Just like my fragrance Nomade Eau de Parfum. Even if thousands of women wear it, it remains unique to me. Isn't that the wonderful thing about perfumes, that they smell different on everyone? Unfortunately, I can't smell the freesia, my ability to extract scents in my head and name them individually is below average. I'd love to show it off a bit, but unfortunately I don't have this talent. Never mind, I have plenty of others ;-) I perceive an "overall fragrance" that simply makes me happy, conjures up an extra portion of happy feeling and gives me the feeling that I'm wearing exactly the right perfume. What more could you want? The bottle is of course also very cute with this stirrup association. And the color of the perfume goes very harmoniously with it: pink-peach-apricot-tulle-silk colors. I just love it!
