Braided Rope
This is a gorgeous musky-ambry-fougère-y confection. Unlike in Gucci's Bloom Acqua di Fiori, though, the musky-ambry and the fougèrey are balanced from the outset, and also the fougère-ity is nowhere near as wild. In this one it's more like, indeed, a fern, or a bit tobacco-leafy; but in that one it's, well, a bit like you've just cleared an overgrown plot of land with a power-strimmer!

I do as a general rule like the juxtaposition of green and amber in a fragrance - but it's difficult, and shows forth the skill of the perfumier if it is truly accomplished, to make of that juxtaposition a true synergy. That is precisely what _is_ done here - it's like a rope braided of green and amber chords.

And it's got that ubiquitous Chloé 'signature' too: I cannot adequately parse it - the best I can offer is that it's kind of the olfactory equivalent of polished marble. And it's as durable as that: it's low-key, but it just stays & stays. Or sardonyx rather than marble - more durable.

Don‘t blind buy Nomade based on the notes
I blind bought this as I like all Chloe fragrances. I really liked it at first. Now I think It smells like an aftershave on me. The opening is a pretty, feminine and fruity floral, unfortunately after about an hour it dries down to a masculine musky scent. Sillage and longevity are enormous. It stays even after showering the next day. I dont recommend blind buying Nomade.

Oh how I misjudged you, Chloé Nomade
Edit: I realized the fragrance I had previously reviewed here was actually the ADP version of Chloé Nomade. I am now updating my review because I found the EDP and it's absolutely enchanting!

The EDP is actually everything I had hoped it would be! The plum note in this version is much more subtle and fresh. It's still there, but less of a punch in the face and more of a subtle fruity note.

This fragrance is so special and different from most fragrances you'll find at the big box stores. The mossy note makes it feel a bit retro, green and earthy. But it's still massively appealing. It has great longevity and sillage. It smells fresh, fruity, and clean. This is definitely a grown woman's fragrance and I am here for it!

Elegant, unique, mature designer that smells niche and deserves more love
This beautiful scent was a love at first sniff. I'm a sucker for plum notes and Chloe Nomade has such a bright, juicy plum heart that's elegant, flirty, and alluring. The opening of this fragrance is a gorgeous blend of all the citrus top notes which blend together to almost smell like a freshly-squeezed cup of citrus juices, more sweet than zesty. As the citrus notes fade, the heart of rose and jasmine really come forward—with the peach adding a juicy edge. The entire lifetime of the fragrance is supported by a smooth, creamy woods base accompanied with a soft musky facet, a tinge of greenness from a smooth and earthy patchouli, and a slightly scratchy distinct oakmoss.

If you're a femme who dislike oakmoss or think it automatically makes a fragrance masculine, Nomade is absolutely going to be a no for you. But personally, Nomade taught me how oakmoss could be used to add a confident, earthy, head-turning edge to a perfume. All of the notes come together to create a perfectly-sweet, juicy and fruity floral fragrance with an extremely long-lasting musky-woodsy moss base. Probably 1-2 hours of 1m projection, then another 2-3 of 1 foot projection, but lasts on your clothes 8+ hrs at intimate distances.

This would be a fantastic signature scent and is appropriate for just about every season but winter, where she would be better replaced by her older and richer sister, the now-discontinued Nomade Absolu de Parfum. Would be a head-turning but still safe daily reach which could fit the office just as well as running errands or a little cafe date. Probably a little bright and peppy to be a good nighttime scent as well.

This is a hidden gem from Chloe and deserves more love. I'll probably always keep a bottle of this or the Absolu in my collection.

A pretty modern chypre
If Nomade piques your interest, and it should if you are a chypre-fan, check out Blackglama's Epic, which is a virtual unknown that can be had for much, much less than Chloe.

I try not to get triggered when I encounter "similarities" in fragrances, but Nomade treats oakmoss & patchouli in a manner that is so similar it feels like a copy. The only difference I can detect is that one front-loads with fruits, the other with aromatics. Sweet or dry, take your pick.

It is nice to see this classic style sneaking back into the mainstream.

Pleasant, but nothing special. It's a light day scent with a poor and basic bouquet. If I smell it I don't imagine at all any adventure!

Sweet, mossy, a little prickly, a note of Chapstick in the black tube. Sexy, but not sexual. Soft peachy-pink against olive green. Love it.

My gateway chypre. Tart plum + crunchy leaves. Maybe not wildly special, but in a sea of generic sugary scents, it was a revelation to me.

A stunning & unique scent! Fresh, fruity, uplifting - I really love it, especially in Spring when it's sunny and warm, but not too hot yet!

Gorgeous lemony-plum with an adventurous mossy undertone. Vintage in its complexity but not "dated." Very powerful. Not a safe blind buy.

I can’t believe some people think this is masculine. It’s not - it just doesn’t smell like a sugar cookie.

Perhaps a new classic? A powerhouse fragrance for sure, with a little bit of darkness and mystery thrown in.

Versatile, modern cyphre. The plum is fresh, not too sweet or jammy. FANTASTIC oakmoss. Great combo w/ plum & freesia. A sweet unisex scent

It is a nice and classy inoffensive chypre with a delicate fruity twist for everyday wear. Not a statement, rather mellow, good for office,

Dry oakmoss, heady freesia and tart mirabelle. Equals a windy spring day when forces of nature are stronger than me. Big time love.
