Beautiful almond scent
The best almond perfume I tried so far. Less "synthetic" than Tardes by Carner Barcelona, less "cosmetic-like" than Mandorlo di Sicilia by Acqua di Parma. It does remind of marzipan but not in a dessert-edible way. It's creamy and balanced, it doesn't scream sweetness. The florals keep it fresh and elegant. I can't smell the frangipani; if there is, then it's probably not the asian type of frangipani (with a very opulent smell), but rather the european one, which is fresher, "white". Overall a winner on my books. The bottle is gorgeous. The longetivity is not impressive, though.
Could have been just a "meh" but the nice drydown saves it all...
A very safe fragrance, very much in the line of the Aqua Allegoria line, though much sweeter than the others. The beginning smells a bit like a Victoria Secret's body spray. The tubereuse is almost coconut-like, very creamy. I detected a slightly tart fruity note, I thought it was rhubarb but it must be the mango, looking at the notes. The scent is decent and quite pleasant, though not out-of-this-world. It's definitively feminine, joyful, mass-appealing. It didn't do much to me but I have to say that when it had dried down, I had some wafts coming to my nose and it was LOVELY and quite addictive. The dry down is classier and so much more interesting. There the tubereuse reminded me a bit of Pichola by Neela Vermeire. Creamy, not overpowering, green.
A good surprise
This new version is quite different from the previous (and discontinued) "Miss Dior Le Parfum", which was an almost liquorous, mature classy scent for someone that owns very bit of her skin and moves forward in life with nothing to prove. I wanted to love that previous Le Parfum, but there was something to it that slightly bothered me, something I couldn't entirely accept. It was a perfume that although was seductive, also put some distance, didn't really let everyone be accepted in its high circle.
I was quite skeptical when I saw that Miss Dior Parfum was released; indeed every new version of Miss Dior since Miss Dior Chérie, was nothing out of this world. It just smelled like any other designer fragrance nowadays, very safe, sweet, and boring. I wanted them to bring back Le Parfum because although I couldn't 100% like it, at least it was interesting.
So when I smelled the new Miss Dior Parfum I was surprised to enjoy it. It definitively keeps the same DNA as the Miss Dior line, but it's done well, and it's really addictive. The tartness of the mandarin orange gives it a flavory little zing, and the strawberry doesn't appear too childish or "body mist or candle-like". It's a definitively more optimistic and sparkling version of the Le Parfum. However it's still elegant.

Lovely on a paper strip but you do need to try it on the skin...
On a paper tester strip I loved it : it's aquatic without being too cold, there is that juiciness from the rhubard that almost reminds me of a juicy pear. I definitively get the "rain" association, a rain in a tropical warm country, with all the flowers and fruits aroma in the air. It's very alluring.
I got a spray sample of it, and unfortunately, on my skin, I predominantly get a very metallic, scritchy note, almost body odor like. Too bad, it would have been a lovely addition to my collection.
There is something about the scent (when not on my skin) that reminds me of the discontinued Viktor & Rolf EauMega.

Smoky musk
This perfume doesn't scream "perfume", it's more like a personal skin scent that attracts you without you knowing exactly why. It's not a "clean" skin scent though, there is something smoky, a bit wild. I can recognize the carnation which gives it a dry touch, and makes it classier. It reminds me of Givenchy Accord Particulier: not the same scent at all, but I'm talking about the type discrete perfume that just seems to be your skin scent with a "je ne sais quoi".
No sillage but impressive longevity (still smells on the skin after a night sleep).
