Pricey peach lotion
I love Guerlain, I love peaches, so what could go wrong with Pêche Mirage? Well, nothing went wrong at all, but it didn't really go right either.

This is a soft white peach, clean and not overly sweet, on a base of lotion-like creamy musk and a touch of woods and leather. The leather is especially noticeable in the opening and calms down in the drydown. It's interesting, I would think of leather as a typical base note and fruity notes as burning off quicker, but there it is the other way round.

It took me a few tests to understand why I don't love this. The reason is kind of crazy and maybe a bit personal: It's that the creaminess in the background of this scent is too close to lived-in skin with a random body cream slathered on. No joke, that's what it smells like to me. Not gross and sweaty, just slightly off. I do like the transparent white peach note, and I can see the appeal of having it paired with leather, but it's clearly not for me.

It doesn't even smell bad, just underwhelming, especially at this price and compared to some other masterpieces in this line. I mean I could just use excessive amounts of peach lotion and after a few hours it will basically smell the same as the drydown of this 330€ perfume.

The different facets of fig
Fig is an interesting note. It's a delicious fruit in real life, but in perfume, it's often green or even milky, not juicy and sweet like biting into a ripe fig is. I'm always on the lookout for fig fragrances that are really fruity and don't just smell like leaves. The mention of fig nectar as a heart note, the addition of plum and rhubarb and the rich purple liquid gave me high hopes for Fig Me Up.

Well, while this is more fruity than leafy, it's not what I imagined. For some reason it smells really peppery in the opening. Imagine a slightly underripe fig sprinkled with black pepper. The rhubarb only adds tartness, like citrus would, but doesn't stand out.

As it dries down, the scent takes a u-turn. The fig and any fruitiness leave the scene as the base notes unfold. It's still a little peppery, but much warmer than at first. I would describe the drydown as powdery and ambery. None of the notes stand out, but reading it's supposed to be toffee, tobacco, tonka and white musk does make sense. Sandalwood, too, even though that's a heart note here. Just a smooth, slightly sweet collection of warm notes.

In my opinion this scent is better suited for men, or people who like men's fragrances in general. Especially in the opening, the drydown is more classically unisex. I can't really fault a unisex scent for not being feminine enough for me, but I wouldn't choose it for myself. I can imagine that it would be nice on someone else. Just don't expect a super sweet, juicy ripe fig, that's not what this is.

Truly for jasmine freaks
This really delivers on what the name promises. It's so intensely floral with a realistic jasmine note straight from the shrub and a sweet, bubblegummy tuberose.

The florals have a classic, perfumey feel, but they're modernized through juicy mango and a touch of fiery black pepper.
I like how this pepper is unmistakably real black pepper, which feels spicy, not dry like pink pepper, which is really a dried berry.
The mango note is also very nice and distinct. But don't be mistaken, this is not another mango fragrance with clean fabric softener florals (like Paco Rabanne Fame or Lattafa Yara Tous), it's a jasmine scent first and foremost. Just a summery, fruit-infused one.

Another thing I appreciate about this is that the drydown is warmer than what I expected from the notes, I was a bit afraid of it becoming scratchy in the drydown, but that never happens.

I see that some people on here find this similar to Kilian Love Don't Be Shy, and I can kind of see where they're coming from, but don't really agree. They have a vaguely similar texture, but the notes are very different.

My personal experience is that I don't wear this kind of floral all that often and shouldn't buy it, but i do like Jasmine Freak and its little twists very much. Maybe could be a grower.
It feels like a summer holiday without being another generic fruit cocktail. Perfect if you like classic white flowers and sweet modern fruit notes equally well.

Not that privileged...
Overose seems to love over the top notes lists. Sure, it has to be jasmine NECTAR, blackcurrant JAM, CARAMELIZED pear, rose CUSTARD and vanilla MERINGUE. And I'm such a sucker and fall for this kind of marketing, but I will also criticize when the actual perfume doesn't hit the mark. And yeah, this doesn't.

The worst part of it is that it's quite scratchy, especially in the opening. Absolutely nothing in the notes indicates that, so I guess it's an unwanted effect from some kind of fixative or something like that.
After that wears off, the scent is fine, but not special. The fruity notes don't smell caramelized or jammy, and they could honestly just as well be peach and raspberry instead of pear and currant. It's an undefined fruity vanilla scent, a bit creamy, a tad powdery, sweet and feminine. Some florals also exist in the mix, but they're just as vague as the fruit.
In the end, vanilla wins over the other notes.

Now when I hear "pretty privilege", I don't just think of someone who looks a bit better than average and can get a free drink here and there. I think of someone who is beautiful enough to be popular even if they behave awfully. And if you put that kind of pretty in perfume form, it's not this. This is more of a wannabe prom queen scent. It's Gretchen, not Regina.

Cherry jam and strawberry bubble gum
Like the name says, the main note in this is cherry. The list says cherry jam specifically, and I guess that makes sense. It's a sweet, rich cherry that is thicker in texture than the juicy cherry we know from TF Lost Cherry and the likes. It's mixed with a bubblegummy strawberry note that gives the whole scent a playful and fun vibe. Underneath that lies a creamy base that mainly consists of vanilla. The additions of patchouli and cocoa are really subtle, just a touch of darkness in an otherwise very lighthearted scent.
It doesn't change much from start to finish.

Some say this is a dupe for Black Opium Over Red, and while I see how the cherry note and creaminess are similar, I don't get any Black Opium DNA here.

For my personal taste this is a little too simple and can't top my favorite cherry scents, but if you're looking for something sweet, fruity and fun, it's certainly nice and doesn't smell like cough syrup or other unpleasant synthetic cherry products.
