Changes, constant shifts in interests, meeting new people - all of this happens because time never stands still. From one day to the next, an impulse can come to mind that previously seemed completely out of place.

Fragrances serve as a statement, amplifiers of opinion, or simply exist to make you feel good and enjoy. I personally often enjoy synthetic clean scents, airy molecular accords, and have always found pleasure in this type of fragrance since I started my scent journey in 2020.

It starts with "Molecule 01 | Escentric Molecules," goes on to "Easy for Ecstasy / Pure | Philly & Phill," or "Solano | Le Couvent." In 2023, around April, while purchasing my "Imagination | Louis Vuitton," I found myself in another small perfumery in Hamburg, incredibly well-advised and introduced to the scent "Genetic Bliss | 27 87 Perfumes."

I talked about my preferences, was handed a test strip without knowing what scent I was holding.. At first, it did nothing for me. Ugh, just pepper, just some random mix. But I didn’t want to settle, somehow, I sprayed it on my arm and went home.

About 14 months ago, I was in a small phase, uncertain about work, transitioning my clothing style or style in general more towards the "more authentic/elegant" and the first thoughts about the importance of the professional foundation became increasingly present. Somehow, the right "growing up" is scary. You realize how quickly days actually pass, how quickly weeks go by, and how steadily everything is changing.

So too did my attitude towards "Genetic Bliss | 27 87 Perfumes," because on the day I wore it on my arm, I liked it MORE and MORE. It feels cheeky, fresh, with punch, authoritative, bossy, and above all, individual.

So this molecular monster landed on my wish list. In November '23, it was time. (Along with 4 ordered samples)

Jumping over your own shadow.. Sometimes you don’t even realize that certain new things are meant to find a place in your life. The scent underscored the change in my style, my presence, and my self-confidence. Because that’s what Genetic Bliss radiates: self-assurance, a wonderful feeling of appreciation and individuality.

The scent character remains relatively simple in relation, but one should note that every molecular scent smells different on every person. I get a lot of pepper, airy-woody nuances, and a unique skin chemistry touch that is incredibly pleasing and attractive to others.

If you ever feel uncertain in a situation in your life, a new beginning or change - just jump over your shadow, it can't get worse.

.. you read this and think: "Huh? Love is not spelled Amyris. What is he talking about, or what does that mean?"

Well, let me explain it to you. Grab something to drink, put on your reading glasses if necessary, and lean back - I’m glad you’re taking the time! I will now try to align feelings and the scent profile as best as I can.

Love, what is it actually? The feeling of security, of coming home, of affection, warmth, and a caring, active attention to the other. Something that is needed by humans.

L - Lightness. Amyris Homme starts off lightly fruity warm, with a subtle hint of floral notes that, as it develops, sweetly accompanies like hair in a young lady's locks.

I - Impulsive. Instantly positive associations come to mind when applying the fragrance. Here, WELL-BEING is written in capital letters.

E - Overwhelming. It amazes me that a fragrance can become a universal top-tier through the interplay of woods, Amyris, mandarin, and tonka, making me rave about it. The combination of freshness, warmth, and lightness, yet simultaneous heaviness, is simply genius.

B - Soothing. Spray it on, perceive it nasally, smile, and feel at home. Just like the sense of security conveyed in a partnership, Amyris Homme can pick you up into its world and let you relax.

E - Unique. Like the partner who lets you be YOURSELF. Where you arrive and are instantly "There." There is no second one like that (in my world).

So you see, I am in love. This fragrance has captivated me. We have a composition of fruit, sweetness, light wood, and an enveloping feeling of cleanliness.

The longevity is really good, you get about 7 hours here - of course, depending on skin type.

The sillage is noticeable for the first 2 hours, after that it’s more intimate. But Amyris doesn’t want to shout. It wants to enchant YOU.

I hope you understand a bit of what I, a humble person, want to express. Painting pictures is easy; conveying impressions in one’s own way of perception is not quite so.

On your marks, get set..? Well, I hope you’re ready and sitting down, because with this one you HAVE to hold on tight.

My knowledge about scents, structures, compositions, and all that jazz is really not extensive yet. Therefore, I didn’t expect too much when I got my first sample. "You at least have to test this one, maybe just as a support for other scents, it’s marketed that way after all.."

I can’t really tell you what exactly M01 smells like; it’s just light but at the same time heavy, like a piece of wood dipped in neutral bath foam and like a mirror that has just been wiped.. (Why do I know what that smells like? I’ll leave that open for imagination)

After 1.5 months, the sample was empty, I traded for a bottle, and I honestly can’t imagine my life without this scent anymore.. I either wear it alone or in combination with two of my favorites - Amyris Homme Eau de Toilette and/or Luna Rossa Black - also two little insider tips :)

Maybe my skin is just good, but I’ve experienced nuances lingering in my nose for 6-16 hours. People have commented on it, which is partly due to my above-average good looks (*cough, cough*) but also because of the class that M01 possesses.

I can’t provide a proper guide to H/S either, as sometimes it’s very strong, sometimes very weak, sometimes lasts a long time, and sometimes a short time.. Versatile like a good book, that’s how the scent is.. But from a personal perspective in notes:

Longevity: 8/10
Sillage: 6.5/10
Scent: 10/10
Versatility: 11/10
Personal opinion: 9/10

All in all, we have something special here that appeals to everyone (like when Jehovah's Witnesses knock on your door) regardless of gender!

After I managed to get a sample of our dark friend here (because the Carbon from the line had already caught my attention), I was even more excited when it finally arrived.

I haven't experienced anything comparable in this direction; it was so new to my nose. It's practically like holding a bundle of 500s in my hand. I've just never done that. The same goes for this Prada.

My first encounters with the brand were about 1.5 years ago with L'Homme. Sexy, clean, super - like a modern vacuum cleaner. However, Luna Rossa Black hits you in a completely different way - not negatively like a knockout, but rather like when you're happy that your partner wants to settle down on you.

Unfortunately, my nose isn't skilled enough to say "The note of Angelica makes it so special here" - so I will just try to describe what I smell:

- Sweet powderiness
- Masculinity
- Sensual, light freshness
- Something "dark" that makes this scent so damn delicious

I believe Luna Rossa Black is not even on the radar for most laypeople, as it's not even for some fragheads here. If you haven't tested it yet - then PLEASE do so!

The bottle is lightless, the scent is cool, and it's simply a clear candidate for my signature.
