Why is it actually called old-fashioned?
I already had Loulou as a young girl, back when it came onto the market. In the late 80s, early 90s. Back then, I found it, as did the rest of the world, to be a super sweet-floral silagehammer. Intrusive, sultry, dense...
But I loved it in my youth. At the time, Loulou was also considered an absolute girly fragrance. Not for well-mannered mature ladies, but for party girls.
So I'm all the more surprised that LouLou is now considered a granny fragrance and old-fashioned. I can't understand that at all, although I've already reached granny age too.
I don't know if my perception of fragrance has changed? Today I put Loulou on again (not the vintage version) and I'm amazed that it seems like a modern, niche oriental to me. I now perceive mainly the spices and warm powdery notes. The flowers remain in the background, with soft cinnamon powder developing on my skin and creamy sandalwood with a slight hint of incense in the background

So come on girls and gentlemen, give it a try and give old Loulou a chance. Unfortunately, it has unjustly degenerated into a drugstore stoopid.

My mom's signature fragrance
My mom has always worn very fresh, tart, almost masculine fragrances. As a teenager, I was more inclined towards oriental scents. So it happened that we got stuck on the Scherrer fragrances when we were shopping for scents. Mom opted for Scherrer No. 1, while I went for the oriental No. 2. My mom was so taken with Scherrer that she kept buying it again and again. As a young thing, I couldn't understand the passion for this very tart, herbaceous fragrance back then. I always gave the bottle a wide berth, although I usually liked to help myself to my mother's perfume collection. At the time, I just thought it was nasty.
Many many years and endless perfumes that I own later, now at exactly the same age as my mom was back then, I appreciate Cypre fragrances and today this Scherrer No. 1 moved in with me. Now I also love this crisp green scent. Noble and refreshing in warm temperatures.
But I still love the Orientals just as much ;)

Comforter
I've got a lot going on right now. There's always something going on, constant excitement, my mood is down. I need something that brings me down. I'm watching a video of dear Anni (Flickchen) and I see Mystique Shimmer standing in the background. Oh yeah, I got that one too. Quickly applied and I'm floating on a fluffy powdery musky vanilla cloud. It urms me, comforts me. All is right with the world again, at least for today

Drugstore Pearl
Just like @Blauelibelle, I could have written the review. Shirin is also developing very nicely on me. Similarity to Alien is there, but Shirin is rounder, warmer, more 'praline' on me. I also perceive a creamy, nutty note.
For me, a drugstore pearl.
Silage and durability are enormous
