How deep one should bow...
...to pay tribute to this unique fragrance?
Is it even possible to honour this delicacy with appropriate words? I'd like to try.

Nahema, already the name gives an idea of the extraordinary, a name from 1001 nights. That sounds almost sublime.
The fragrance is a wonderful homage to the queen of flowers, an elaborately and opulently arranged bouquet with delicate fruit sprinkles and spices.
It seems to me to come from a completely different world, not from the here and now.
In Nahema a warming fire blazes and at the same time it radiates a calming coolness, which is both confusing and sensual at the same time.
I have not yet experienced this in a fragrance in such a way that warmth and coolness can exist simultaneously in a fragrance. But this works so well here, because all components are so masterfully interwoven that nothing sticks out unpleasantly and disturbingly.

Nahema is an incredibly beautiful and rich fragrance. This scent, which is adorning my wrists right now (and which I have to touch again and again with my nose), contains so much beauty that it seems almost impossible to me to write a more detailed description.

A proud and majestic rose can be seen from the very beginning. A fully blossomed and proud rose, who doesn't want her leading role to be stolen by any other component. All companions have subordinated themselves to the proud Rose. As a companion, aldehydes waft towards me with a hint of fruit and some green, perfectly introduce the appearance of the rose, the rose in full splendour raises its head in full self-confidence. The richly bound bouquet of flowers soon appears, but no single flower dares to dispute the rose's place of honour. But everything shows itself in harmonious harmony, everything is so perfectly coordinated, no discord disturbs the splendour of the flowers. At first all this seems quite cool, unsweet, radiant and very present.
After a while, hints of spices come to light, but they are not able to subdue the rose, which still outshines everything. And from that moment on, the scent changes from cooling to warm. I am deeply impressed.
The intoxicating fragrance has an incredible endurance, at least 9 hours Nahema is perceptible and even after more than 12 hours a fine rosy breath is still present.

For me, Nahema is a great perfume, a tribute to the queen of flowers, a bow to her beauty and her beguiling scent, and unmistakably a classic Guerlain.
Nahema invites you on a journey into a distant world, smiles and bewitches, enchants and intoxicates. You just want to sink into it, forget the grey everyday life and dream.
The magnificent rose is dark, purple red and skilfully sets itself in scene.
The fragrance is never repellent and unapproachable, but always friendly and inviting.
This is a scent for the evening and the big appearance in big robe. It's far too bad for everyday work.
Nahema will leave a lasting impression.

If the Eau de Parfum is such a dreamlike fragrance, then the extrait, which I unfortunately didn't get to know, seems to me to be the absolute perfection. Too bad that it is no longer manufactured.

Anyway, I bow deep to this enchanting fragrance and its creator and say thank you for creating such outstanding creations as Nahema and other great fragrances for us.

Bravo!

The name of the rose
Hello guys,... you already know it: A new evening = A new comment!
Today I come to a fragrance that sounds a little Indian from the sound, Nahema. Anyway, I find...

The name is supposed to mean "fire girl", which is to express that a girl or a woman should be sweet and pretty, but also spirited and passionate, that is, stunning, just like Jean-Paul Guerlain, the creator of this fragrance here, found the French actress Catherine Deneuve.

Jean-Paul was inspired by this actress, whom he saw in the movie "Benjamin - Aus dem Tagebuch einer männlichen Jungfrau", to this fragrance. In one scene Catherine was seen in a white silk dress, standing in a gilded cage (actually an aviary, with birds inside) surrounded by roses, and Jean-Paul found her absolutely stunning. And that's exactly the kind of scent he wanted to compose. It should be a fragrance where the wearer of the fragrance should emanate an unforgettable, gripping and dreamlike aura. It took Jean-Paul four years to develop this fragrance. In the end a rose fragrance came out which was so outstanding that even a rose was named after this fragrance here: The Nahema rose. In this case my title of the commentary alludes to the name of the fragrance, and not to the film with Sean Connery, which I honestly haven't seen completely until today... yes yes, I'm a philistine, because the film is supposed to be so great... I'll watch it if it should appear on Netflix at some point :D

The fragrance:
The fragrance actually begins immediately with roses. They smell soft and soft, beautiful and very feminine. There are also light aldehydes and fruity notes of peach and pear. A few minutes later there are more flowery notes, of which I can smell the lilacs and a little ylang-ylang (and of which I think that especially the ylang-ylang will become quite strong later on).
The roses remain in the foreground, but you can also smell the other scents for a while, so that it doesn't only smell like roses. The vanilla germinates from the middle part, which makes the fragrance softer and a little more powdery. Over time I also find the scent to be clean, which is not to be confused with soapy, because soapy is not the scent at all. In any case, the fragrance, although already softened by the aforementioned vanilla, becomes even softer and thus even more beautiful by the beautifully resinous scented Peru balsam.
Towards the base there are still roses to be smelled, but the scent is also generally flowery, whereby I would continue here to tap on the lilacs, which with time smell quite slightly stuffy, ... well, I always feel that way, but you ladies could like it much better. The Ylang-Ylangs are unfortunately as expected getting heavier and heavier, especially in the later base. So after many hours I find this fragrance here a little stuffy and sultry. Although not as extremely unpleasant as some other fragrances, I just don't like it. That would also be my only point of criticism in this otherwise so beautiful fragrance. Apart from this, the late base also smells of soft, powdery and clean notes, and the fragrance is also slightly spicy. By the way, the roses weaken considerably in the end.
A beautiful fragrance worth testing, especially if you have nothing against fragrances like ylang-ylang.

The Sillage and the shelf life:
The Sillage is strong, especially at the beginning, and weakens slightly in the further course. Nevertheless, the fragrance remains at a good level for a while, so that it will be good to smell on one.
The shelf life is extremely good, as the fragrance lasts over twelve hours.

The bottle:
The bottle is cylindrical and ends in a dome. It is covered with bees (69 to be exact... that was the imperial symbol in France...) and has a small recess on the front where the label was embedded. The lid is round and decorated in the same way as the domed part of the bottle. All in all, as always a very beautiful bottle, which is both beautiful to look at and lies well in the hand.

Okay, the scent is actually nice. What disturbs me about it, I just said in the description of the fragrance, so the Ylang-Ylang. In the beginning you can smell a lot of rose. But I myself can't do too much with rose scents, so I can't distinguish between the different rose scents. However, I think that rose fans in particular could enjoy this fragrance much better and, above all, could see the subtle differences to other rose fragrances than I could here now.

I think it's nice that the scent smells like roses, but not just like roses. Besides the described scents it has a nice, soft side and seems to me to be powdery-clean. This makes him indeed very feminine, as Jean-Paul intended. But while in the beginning it looks like a fragrance for everyone (well, actually "every woman" :D), in the end it becomes more of a fragrance, which in my opinion shouldn't stand so much on younger people, because it already starts to smell quite ripe. However, this "maturity" here has an elegant touch and has become a fragrance for going out for beautiful evenings or occasions. Therefore it is worth a look, especially for rose fans who want a well composed fragrance in the usual Guerlain quality!

Wow... I think this time I did it again (a rather rare moment), where I didn't talk too much nonsense and fool around. You see, that's possible too! :DD
So today I come to the end and wish you a nice weekend :)

Nahema, the rose petal girl
"Nahema, the Rose Petal Girl" tells the story of the little slave girl who, at the request of a caliph, brings his withered field of roses to bloom.
This enchanting fairy tale, narrated by Merry J. Boyanne, was written during a journey through Morocco: inspired by scents, colors and sounds.
Based on this model, Jean-Paul Guerlain composed the eponymous eau de parfum, which is even said to be his favorite fragrance.
Well, why should perfumers not have a favorite among their fragrance children?

"Nahema" comes from the wedding of the great fragrance creations, when it was still allowed to reach generously into the fragrance box.
Thus was created the most beautiful rose portrait ever dedicated to a woman.

"Nahema" is sweet and warm, but at the same time impetuous and passionate.
The fragrance enchants with radiant colors and gorgeous tones.
"Nahema" can be felt, seen and even heard.
Somewhere I read, "Built on the pulsating rhythm of Ravel's "Bólero", in the fascinating tempo of sweetness and passion to intoxication!"
Let's see if that holds true.

Contrary to the plaintive tones of the lone clarinet in the opening of "Bólero", this fragrance concerto opens with an aldehyde flourish!
Radiantly explode here the ingredients of the top note: bergamots, fresh spicy green, peaches and already the first roses!
Lively also immediately become the classic floral beauties: heavy ripe lilac umbels compete with large-flowered white jasmine, while the small ground dwellers lily of the valley and hyacinths vigorously tune into this already now wonderful fragrance concert.
From this grows an almost supernatural sound of noble roses and swings over everything:
Oriental roses with captivating charm!
Fruity - warm - earthy - balsamic - erotic: so easy to describe the grand finale of this touching fragrance concert.
This creates a passionate fragrance composition, which fill the room with colors and tones and make the wearer of "Nahema" to something very special.

The magic of an oriental fairy tale with the usual durability of a guerlain fragrance, rich and enticing!

With "Nahema", Jean-Paul Guerlain transforms every woman into a goddess, elevates her to a fragrant throne and pays homage to her!
Can we women expect more?

My Holy Grail
When I first wore Nahema at fifteen, I didn't know much about fragrances. For me, it reminded me of Dextroenergen Truabenzucker sprinkled with rose water. I am now in my fifties and still love the scent. Now I can smell out a bright rose dusted with the finest dextrose. A unique and probably the most beautiful rose scent I know. It belongs to a princess... Or queen :) . Durability and silage are enormous, without smothering

There was no review on Nahema- Eau de Parfu- that's why I write!
And I will be short, because this is one of those perfumes I prefer to embrace and be silent than use words that cannot express its beauty.
It is a rose. It is surrounded by wisps of flowers. It seems sweet and it is not. It feels cold and it warms you up. It is red yet white like a cristal.
It is Nahema: unique, beautiful beyound words, it is a masterpiece.
