No moss - no fun.
I can't quite decide between disappointment and enthusiasm. The reason is that for me, the scent experiences of the top and base notes are so vastly different.
On the first spray, I was indeed enchanted. Quite different from what I expected, this fragrance was neither cloying nor too masculine, but very elegant and interesting. It is a bit heavy, that's true. However, in a "cool" way, hard to describe. I believe the aldehydes come across a bit sharper, more herbal here. I also think I can smell the moss right from the start, but maybe that's just wishful thinking. In any case, I find the combination with the beloved fruity peach sweetness very successful.
The floral note remains present from beginning to end, but in my opinion, it leaves the spotlight to other components.
Over time, the fragrance "warms" up, becoming sweeter and sweeter, and loses its charm for me. It comes out of balance.
Towards the end, it smells to me hardly better than any random fragrance from the drugstore. A lot of sandalwood and only a faint echo of moss and white flowers. While it is very pleasing, it has somehow become uninteresting. As someone already mentioned here: banal.
Particularly unfortunate is that it doesn't last well on me at all. Or well, to be honest, it does, but this annoying base note lasts quite a long time, and that's not what I want! The lovely opening evaporates faster than the police allows.
In the end, I find the composition only moderately successful.
For having some of my favorite notes included, it just doesn't blow me away nearly as much as I thought it would.
What a shame!

Only for Winnie Pooh
Here on Parfumo, I heard about Demeter Fragrance Library for the first time, and I found the concept so brilliant that I had to get 8 different samples sent to me right away.
I was particularly excited about Honey; the expectations were high...
Unfortunately, I am disappointed. This "honey" is quite synthetic. Moreover, it is not as cozy-warm and sweet-lovely as hoped.
You can definitely smell the honey, unlike "Grass," probably even if you don't know what it's supposed to represent before smelling it.
The scent is not bad. But it just doesn't grab you. No water that makes your mouth water, no hungry bears chasing you, not even in kindergarten would you be a star with this.
Personally, I don't really know what to do with it.
Maybe it's just my skin chemistry. Or maybe I'm just not enough of a honey lover. I only find honey delicious in moderation.
Winnie the Pooh would probably be happier with this scent.
.
A little addendum: Layered with "Cotton Candy," it turns out to be something quite delicious! Yumm yumm!

I am a Tommy Girl
...and proud of it!
This perfume has been my signature scent for years. And I can't really let go of it, nor do I want to. Tommy Girl simply embodies too much of what I desire in a fragrance.
It is wonderfully fresh, almost cool, without being piercing in any unpleasant way.
It is citrusy, without evoking associations with toilet cleaner.
It is beautifully fruity and floral, without being too sweet or overloaded.
It is green and herbaceous, but undeniably feminine.
I love this scent!
Just today, in the midst of a spring heatwave, I am once again reminded of what a treasure I actually have.
A spritz of Tommy Girl is as refreshing as a cold shower.
For those who like it clean, it's a gem. Interestingly, Tommy Girl seems to be getting cheaper over time and is making its way into drugstores.
Not quite its class, but at least it is the best horse in the stable!
Another great advantage: It lasts, and lasts, and lasts. And this as an Eau de Cologne. On my fragrance-eating skin.
I am smitten, and have been for about three years!

Fruit Punch "California"
Envy Me could never be a signature scent for me, unless you are Surfer Barbie in the flesh.
For me, it’s a mood booster. Especially in spring, our relationship noticeably comes to life. With the first spray, lychee and pineapple emerge on a harmonizing floral background, awakening summer longings. The sun rises. Not just any sun, but a Californian one that almost scares you with its bleached 1000°C grin.
Because somehow, that’s what this scent embodies for me. American girlie mainstream, in a summery good-vibe version.
Everything fits: The fruitiness, the sweetness, and despite everything, the undeniable clean note.
This may sound very negative, but I have a weakness for such stuff. And I believe I’m absolutely not the only one, so it’s worth a test sniff for anyone simply looking for a nice scent that brings joy.

Plus: Charm, Class, Pleasing - Minus: Innovation
Jil. Jil is the woman who, wherever she goes, draws people to her side. She is captivating, yet so playful and subtle that her supposed victims don’t even notice. They think they like Jil because they simply want to. Wrong.
It’s her charisma.
For Jil exudes a charm that makes it easy to like her. There is a caressing softness and warmth that says: "I am good to you. Trust me. I embrace you." This is done skillfully, for on the other hand, there is a lightness and delicacy that allows for no intrusiveness.
Jil smiles a lot, but never foolishly, never artificially, never apologetically, never shyly.
Only always friendly and self-assured.
She combines sex appeal with absolute purity.
You won’t find any "Boom-Chicka-Wah-Wah" with her, where the cuddly kitten tries in vain to tease out the wildcat. She is not a sex goddess, not a virginal innocent lamb, not a prim madam. No.
For that, Jil has only a tired smile.
Jil is a woman who knows who she is and what she wants. She loves the beautiful life, cuddling, tenderness.
Edges and corners are overrated. Innovation isn’t always necessary.
___
Addendum: Over time, it becomes sweeter and sweeter for me, and the headache threshold is slowly being exceeded.
So: Warning to all who, like me, have a problem with a lot of sweetness!
