The holy grail of honeys!
My search for the perfect honey scent is over - THIS is it!

This is not the synthetic honey note often found in perfumes. This is not honey from the honey bear bottles. This is pure, hyper-realistic wildflower honey: raw, resinous honey (the type that crystallizes in a glass jar), with very light/indistinct florals mixed in (think honeysuckle + jasmine). The florals are faint, but definitely there - and they prevent the honey note from being too sickly sweet. It's such a beautiful, well-balanced blend.

To me, it actually has a hint of the super sweet orange blossoms I used to smell growing up (NOT neroli, just the orange blossom: no greenery of any kind, nothing relating to the tree or leaves... just the pure, sweet, simple floral nectar of the blossom itself.

The best part: all notes STAY when wearing this fragrance! So many times an opening note is beautiful but fleeting - but in this perfume, they're not going anywhere. I keep checking my arm and even after a couple of hours, all the notes are still there!

10/10, true-to-life, perfect for spring, great for pairing, full-bottle-worthy!

Good for layering
I bought the oil roll on of this fragrance. Right out of the bottle, it does not really smell like honey, not to me at least. It is more of a powdery, slightly musky, slightly floral smell (which might be the pollen notes), but it does not smell gourmand. My original thought was that it smelled more like a scent in a soap or detergent. It doesn't have a great silage on it's own, but it does have a decent longevity, around 4-5 hours on my skin. It does have very good layering potential though! I eventually ended up layering with Pacifica's island vanilla and it came VERY close to the sweet, edible honey scent I originally wanted. Since Demeter fragrances' main purpose is for layering, I can solidly say this fragrance achieved it's purpose. However, for those looking for a gourmand honey right out of the bottle, this may disappoint.

Sugared Honey
I loooove honey. Almost all varieties (except for rose-flavored). Especially when the delicious comb is included (and while eating, you hope not to accidentally discover a processed bee larva in the jar… Eww, who still wants honey, ha ha ha!!! I think I’m slowly going crazy having to test so many Demeter fragrances!).

Anyway, honey is one of those products that has a distinctive scent. Therefore, I was even more curious about how Demeter could implement this, as the manufacturer can execute certain things very well, while others they pretty much mess up. With Honey, however, I have mixed feelings.

The scent:
The fragrance starts with the familiar honey scent, but at first, it smells a bit harsh and piercing, though at least there is no overpowering alcohol scent accompanying it. Then it gradually becomes milder and softer, slowly developing a better aroma. However, even though it really smells like honey, there’s a feeling that something isn’t quite right. It’s as if the honey had been sitting for a while and has thus become sugared. So it becomes denser and tastes too sweet like sugar instead of delicious honey, and that’s how it smells too. Like honey, but just a bit too sweet.

The longevity is somewhat longer than with the usual Demeter fragrances; perhaps this is because it is a sweet scent. I think it is noticeable for about 5-6 hours.
The sillage is below average and not too strong, as is the case with most Demeter fragrances. However, if you spray it on generously, it will likely leave a strong, sweet scent cloud for a short time.

The bottle is still practical. Well, it’s sufficient; you wouldn’t expect more, after all, it wouldn’t be worth it for the manufacturer to create a unique bottle for each fragrance. But at least the stickers could have been designed better. This one looks like someone designed it as quickly as they could. Probably the bees were already after him…

So, the honey taste… I mean, of course, the honey scent is there. But I find it a bit too sweet, which prevents it from getting a higher rating, yet I would still say it’s somewhat authentic. All in all, it’s nicely done. But I don’t think it’s suitable for wearing.

Only for Winnie Pooh
Here on Parfumo, I heard about Demeter Fragrance Library for the first time, and I found the concept so brilliant that I had to get 8 different samples sent to me right away.
I was particularly excited about Honey; the expectations were high...

Unfortunately, I am disappointed. This "honey" is quite synthetic. Moreover, it is not as cozy-warm and sweet-lovely as hoped.

You can definitely smell the honey, unlike "Grass," probably even if you don't know what it's supposed to represent before smelling it.
The scent is not bad. But it just doesn't grab you. No water that makes your mouth water, no hungry bears chasing you, not even in kindergarten would you be a star with this.

Personally, I don't really know what to do with it.
Maybe it's just my skin chemistry. Or maybe I'm just not enough of a honey lover. I only find honey delicious in moderation.

Winnie the Pooh would probably be happier with this scent.

.
A little addendum: Layered with "Cotton Candy," it turns out to be something quite delicious! Yumm yumm!

Maybe more agave syrup than honey, but the scent is quite interesting. It's sweet-bitter and very wearable.

Honey, still in the comb with lots of beeswax. And with a hint of orange blossom, like sweet nectar. Sunny. Okay, but I wouldn't want to wear it.

I can't stand honey, but this one smells mild, like honey candles at the Christmas market. Quite weak, poor longevity & sillage.
