Breathe In The Scent of Italian Towns Of Art

The Italian cities of art are some of the most visited destinations of international cultural tourism. They are rich in monuments, churches, castles, museums, and historic homes. Of course, there are many Italian cities of art: Turin, Milan, Venice, Bologna, Ferrara, Florence, Perugia, Rome, Naples, and Palermo just to name a few. Almost all of them retain an important historical, artistic, and architectural heritage that narrates the succession from century to century. These cities, due to their particular relationship with the various axes of power, were rebuilt several times - that is, as residences of princes, dukes, popes, kings, and emperors.

But right now, I would like to ask you the following question, "What do you think Italian art cities smell like?" Well, you don't need to rack your brains, Alviero Martini thought about it. Last year, five new fragrances with five colors, in EDP concentration, appeared on the shelves of perfumeries, all dedicated to representing the historic Italian cities of art, under the name ALV Passport by Alviero Martini. There is no clear separation between feminine and masculine perfumes, and this allows everyone to play with the five fragrances, indistinctly and only following their mood of the moment. Allegedly, they announced the collection in 2017, here you will find more details ALV–PASSPORT.

White Taormina

Taormina is sparkling, solar, and reflects the joyful atmosphere of an enchanting place where the scent of the sea breeze blends with the fragrant notes of citrus fruits, flowers, and the typical notes of the Mediterranean scrub.

A sparkling start of blood orange and mandarin transports towards the refined heart where the orange blossom and rose emerge softened by the scent of the white almond. White musks, and something vanillic complete this intensely gentle fragrance. A spring scent for daily business and leisure.

Denim Capri

Capri is playful, flowery, cheerful, delicately fruity, and reflects the magic of the city, the spectacle of a pearl set in the cobalt blue of its sea and enveloped by the Mediterranean aromas of the vegetation.

Marine note, jasmine, peach blossom, and raspberry unfurl, followed by the refined note of cotton flowers which, combined with violet, lily of the valley, and rose petals come together in a powdery accord. The final notes, warm and persistent, develop from the tones of white musk, vanilla, and patchouli and flow into the elegant amber. Warm seasons are perfect, and the scent suits daily, sporty, and nightly events.

Safari Roma

Rome is rich, elegant, enveloping, opulent, and expresses the eternal city: strong, with a thousand faces, always sunny. The development is pleasant, reminiscent of the walks to the Imperial Forums or the Spanish Steps, with memories that emerge from the past and merge with the present. Everything is there, the Colosseum at night, and the St. Peter's Basilica.

The initial notes of pink pepper and ylang-ylang, wrapped in the unusual mandarin, open the mind to ancient and always current images. From the heart emerge tuberose, iris, cinnamon, and incense, familiar and reassuring notes like the streets of the center of Rome. The fragrance ends with the elegant notes of patchouli, sandalwood, and guaiac wood. The dark and opulent accords make it ideal for cold months and evening or night occasions.

Mocha Venezia

Venice is flowery, romantic, musky, woody. A round of perfumed notes, as pleasant as walking through the streets and squares of Venice. The oriental scent that pervades the memory of this city shines through in perfect harmony with the romantically flowery notes.

At the top, bergamot, petitgrain, pink pepper, and Chinese mandarin prevail, softened by a heart of violet, rose, gardenia, peony, and geranium leaves, but also cloves and cinnamon, giving a strong personality as the lagoon city deserves. On the finish come the notes of white musk and with a base of ambergris, patchouli, sandalwood, guaiac wood that gently transport into velvety atmospheres. A springtime scent, it suits anytime and any occasion.

Black Firenze

Firenze is woody, spicy, amber, and musky. Elegant and lively like the city that inspires it, Giotto's bell tower, the Uffizi, Michelangelo's David, Santa Maria Novella, and much more.

It opens with a sparkling top note thanks to bergamot, cumin, and cardamom. The development of the fragrance continues with a decisive heart from which emerge nutmeg, black pepper, and full-bodied accents of leathered birch. The base notes of patchouli, ambergris, cypress, and musk complete the fragrance, giving manly elegance to this unique perfume. The leathery and spicy nature makes me chose it for fall days.
