Ombre Nomade Dupe/Alternative?
My text is aimed at those who might want to consider Oud Pashmina as an alternative to Ombre Nomade. Let's start with how I came across this fragrance. I smelled Ombre Nomade for the first time in my life and had to make this scent mine. This unique DNA combined with its longevity and sillage is simply amazing. However, when I saw the price of Ombre Nomade back then, I realized that a more affordable alternative was necessary.

However, I must mention here that once you like the scent DNA, you should rather go for the original, as there will always be something in the alternatives that will bother you in the long run.

Anyway, while searching for alternatives, I came across various fragrances, such as those from the Arabic houses, Royal Nights,... and also Oud Pashmina. Since I wanted to get Arabians Tonka anyway and there was a 20ml fragrance of your choice as a gift with every purchase at Montale, it was the perfect opportunity to test Oud Pashmina. Said and done.
The fragrance arrived a few days later, and I tested it extensively.

The scent is a lovely rose-oud combination, all nice and good, but is the scent an alternative to Ombre Nomade? For me, Ombre Nomade is characterized by a mix of earthy, dirty notes and a beautiful raspberry note, accompanied by atomic longevity. Let's go through the points: Are there earthy, dirty notes present? Yes, but they are very, very subdued compared to Ombre Nomade. Is there a fruity component? No, in contrast to ON, OP completely omits the raspberry. And how is the longevity? For me, it lasts a good 6 hours, but you can't call that beast mode, while ON probably only has to hide from Air Tiger. In my opinion, OP is a fragrance that aims for a similar direction but wants to remain completely independent at the same time. I perceive OP as more feminine due to the subdued earthy, dirty oud note compared to ON. I wouldn't recommend the scent as an alternative, but if someone is looking for something more accessible, less "dirty," and in the direction of ON, they might consider making a purchase.
