Gas pumps
With Oud Pashmina, I pick up on four main elements: gasoline, leather, purple roses, and vanilla. It came as a shock to discover that the fragrance actually has less notes than what I am smelling as accords. I think this is a stunning, high quality, and perfectly blended mixture. Performance is excellent. It's the best rose/oud I've ever smelled.

You'll kind of feel like a biker dude from the 70s with greased up hair. I love how masculine this smells in the sense of the leather and the gas. My dad is a mechanic and and this reminds me a bit of what he'd smell like when he came home.

Wow.....
This is one of those fragrances that really catch you off guard, not just because it's a great scent but because of the reaction that the female counter parts give you. Now on my skin , this is not the typical oud rose combo but it's much much more. With the sweet note of vanilla and fruits at the top along with a touch of leather and just a touch of musk in the dry down really sets this apart from all the counter parts out there. A very nice touch from the house of Montale, get it if you can and you won't regret it.

Beautiful Rose and Oud Fragrance
I received Oud Pashima as a sample with a purchase at the souk. Montale is a brand that I haven't found particularly convincing until now. The fragrances often come across as too synthetic and sometimes border on giving me headaches.

Fortunately, Oud Pashima is different; the scent is strong and has solid projection. The sillage is noticeable for about 3-4 hours at a little over arm's length and then quickly becomes close to the skin. After about 10-11 hours, Oud Pashima is no longer detectable. There is nothing to criticize regarding its longevity. It lasts a good 11 hours on my skin.

I don't need to say much about the scent itself: It is a fragrance with rose and oud, with the rose being rather softly dosed, which I appreciate. Oud is clearly recognizable, but this is not a fragrance with an extreme oud note; I don't expect that at a retail price of €125 for 100 ml. The musk is clearly dominant for me. The longevity and performance are clearly achieved with the musk. The quality is good, but it's just not Roja, Ensar, Xerjoff, etc. One shouldn't expect that here.

I can definitely recommend this Montale and am already considering purchasing a bottle.

Ombre Nomade Dupe/Alternative?
My text is aimed at those who might want to consider Oud Pashmina as an alternative to Ombre Nomade. Let's start with how I came across this fragrance. I smelled Ombre Nomade for the first time in my life and had to make this scent mine. This unique DNA combined with its longevity and sillage is simply amazing. However, when I saw the price of Ombre Nomade back then, I realized that a more affordable alternative was necessary.

However, I must mention here that once you like the scent DNA, you should rather go for the original, as there will always be something in the alternatives that will bother you in the long run.

Anyway, while searching for alternatives, I came across various fragrances, such as those from the Arabic houses, Royal Nights,... and also Oud Pashmina. Since I wanted to get Arabians Tonka anyway and there was a 20ml fragrance of your choice as a gift with every purchase at Montale, it was the perfect opportunity to test Oud Pashmina. Said and done.
The fragrance arrived a few days later, and I tested it extensively.

The scent is a lovely rose-oud combination, all nice and good, but is the scent an alternative to Ombre Nomade? For me, Ombre Nomade is characterized by a mix of earthy, dirty notes and a beautiful raspberry note, accompanied by atomic longevity. Let's go through the points: Are there earthy, dirty notes present? Yes, but they are very, very subdued compared to Ombre Nomade. Is there a fruity component? No, in contrast to ON, OP completely omits the raspberry. And how is the longevity? For me, it lasts a good 6 hours, but you can't call that beast mode, while ON probably only has to hide from Air Tiger. In my opinion, OP is a fragrance that aims for a similar direction but wants to remain completely independent at the same time. I perceive OP as more feminine due to the subdued earthy, dirty oud note compared to ON. I wouldn't recommend the scent as an alternative, but if someone is looking for something more accessible, less "dirty," and in the direction of ON, they might consider making a purchase.

A Slightly More Feminine Alternative to Ombre Nomade
Those looking for a slightly more feminine alternative to Ombre Nomade will find it in "Oud Pashmina | Montale." The performance is truly strong. The longevity on my skin is about 24 hours with a booming sillage.

Since the complexity of Oud Pashmina is somewhat limited and most of the aromas are consistently present, I will skip the top, heart, or base notes here. The scent is floral, dark, oriental-spicy, woody, sweet, animalic, leathery, fruity, and subtly smoky. I detect aromas of rose water, oud, musk, raspberries, suede, amber, benzoin, as well as a hint of vanilla.

In the end, I find Oud Pashmina quite successful and thank Sören for the sample.

A great rendition of the oud-musk-rose orientals, with a slight fruity top and a touch bitter leathery middle/drydown, wonderful trail.

Rose-Oud combo with typical Montale DNA (which I like).
There's also a bit of spice.
Dark, prominent, but somehow soft.

A perfume seller from Florence once told me in confidence (in German): "Oud stinks." In this case, he was right.

Intense, oud-like Oriental typical Montale DNA. Better suited for the cooler seasons. Scores with very good sillage. I like it.

Every time I read rose-oud, I think... Oh no.. but the musk brings a silky balance. Little synthetic, that's nice!

Beautiful rose-oud-musk scent.
What I like about it is that the rose is kept spicy here, giving it some edge and character..
Recommendation!

A beautiful, non-animalistic oud scent. The agarwood is already present in the top note and only later lets the rose peek around the corner.

Montale's typical powerful Oud paired with delicate rose. Beastly sillage. Here, one stands out excessively.

A truly successful Montale. Small fragrance pyramid but a knockout winter scent. Oudy but not animalistic. The musk is a dream.
