In Love Again
I loved this at first sniff. It has this warm, dense and sophisticated smell to it, which in my case at least. I do associate with what "true" perfumes smell like, because it smells reminiscent. Maybe because I have smelt it in my childhood and forgotten about it.

It's an spicy woody oriental, which smells NOTHING alike cigarettes. If you ever have been around people who smoke, you know how it smell and it's a gross smell you never forget. Égoïste is a way superior masterpiece compared to Bleu de Chanel and the several flankers of Allure Homme. Stating that it smells like cigarettes seems a bit "special".

Performance is good, and I do smell it longer than Dior Sauvage Elixir. Which is another "masterpiece".

King of Kings
Got the 2020 formula.

This is the fragrance I reach the most for. It feels elegant and not cheap smelling, even though it's surprisingly cheap for a Dior fragrance.
In terms of how long the smell lasts. The smell of DHI do fill the little closet I keep my wool scarf in, for several days after I sprayed it.
Saw someone describe it as a floral gourmand, which is pretty fitting.

In terms of bottle design, I do have a complaint there. The black tube doesn't reach all the way to the bottom, and the little transparent tube which the fragrance is sucked into is of course not shown in any promo pics. I like the idea, because the transparent tube is not pretty to look at and this half-assed idea is just cheap and tacky. When Dior is one of the biggest luxury brands and can obviously afford to make it properly.
Dior do advertise that this design is more recyclable, but it's only the cardboard box it comes in and the glass bottle itself. Not the cap, or anything. Just the bottle. Which is a pretty rotten try at misinformed advertising.

Not the hype that i expected
You know when the air feels to sharp and hurts your nose when inhaling? That's what this scent does.
I've had this for a while, and the only thing I can think of. "This smells like a department store where every fragrance is mixed up in the air"
It does have a "body odour masked with cologne"-vibe to it too, as it smell kind of sour like body odour.

What more can i say?
There are no discounters in my country, as in there are some that say they are discounters, but are often more expensive. So you really have to hunt for the best deal. This fragrance may be cheaper elsewhere, but in my country. It's about the same price as a classic Chanel (not Bleu or the Allure flankers) and Dior fragrances. Which is a much better deal than this.

After being in this "game" for some time, I have changed my mind about this. At first I thought it smelled great, a bit weak, but great. Now I think it smells cheap and more like Wunderbaum. To those that don't know what it is. It is small scented boards shaped like a tree, meant to be hanged up in your car. And only the "white trash" had it in their cars.

I'm actually happy I accidentally lost the nozzle to this, because it's that foul.

I haven't smelt YSL Tuxedo, but I kind of want to just to say how wrong and rude people are for comparing these two.

I bought this on a recommendation from fragrance youtubers (You know those who promise that fragrances will drop the panty of others). Well, that's a long time ago and I've learned. But they're wrong, about everything and scam artists is a fitting name for them.

About the new batches...
Only thing I can tell about this, is that it smells similar and as fresh as a gin and tonic. Now, I don't anything about barbershop fragrances. But when I think of a barbershop, this isn't it.

It smelled like a synthetic mess when I got it, so I may or may not smell something more nuanced in the future. Anyway, it's a keeper and it not smelling "modern" is more of a plus. As Bleu de Chanel is a big disgrace, and no. Mass popularity does not equal something actually being good.
