In a perfume store, I tested
Gris Charnel Eau de Parfum and wasn't really convinced.. "Fig and then this massive spice.. hmm". But the scent has been so hyped, there must be something to it (?).
So recently I went to a perfume store again. Until that point, I didn't even know there was an Extrait. So I became curious and sprayed the fragrance on my wrist.
About the scent:
This time, it completely blew me away. The fig, the tea, and then this cardamom that adds that certain something to it all. Since I had sprayed it on, it could really develop beautifully. After about 15 minutes, the wonderful creaminess emerges through the base notes. I especially have to highlight the vanilla: it's brilliant. Also the iris.. the scent never gets boring.
I can't even describe it properly, but everything just fits with this fragrance :0
About the longevity:
Just before leaving the perfume store, I applied about 5-7 sprays on my jacket and neck. My jacket smells so strong 4 days later that the scent lingers in the air at home.
What's surprising is that the sillage is rather moderate for such longevity. You definitely leave a light scent trail, but it's never too overpowering. I think that makes it even better!!
In conclusion, I can say that anyone looking for a creamy, cozy date scent but also a fragrance for leisure will find exactly what they're looking for here. There's so much sophistication in it, and you'll stand out positively. Anyone who likes
White on White will love this one.
