I was able to buy this fragrance from a dear perfumer in the souk and couldn't be happier about it.
The scent is smoky vanilla, from start to finish. Vanilla and smoky but without being too sweet or too smoky. The scent stays linear and lasts a long time on me. On some days, I can smell it for up to 13 hours. The sillage is also good, my environment said that one spray would be enough.
The only negative thing is that the fragrance is limited and difficult to get hold of.
But if you have the opportunity to try the fragrance, I would do so if I were you.

I had tested Mon Guerlain Intense after it was announced that it might soon be discontinued.
My suspicions about the fragrance were confirmed: I don't like it as much as the original.

The mandarin fights with the lavender for the upper hand in the top note. Shortly afterwards, the vanilla comes to the fore. My mother then called me a vanilla bomb. And I was. The vanilla could be smelled clearly and for a long time. The patchouli only joined in late. And unfortunately, that's exactly what I didn't like.
The fragrance is very long-lasting. I must have sprayed it on my jacket by mistake, because I could still smell the fragrance a few days after testing it: nice and slightly vanilla. A few days later, however, I could only smell the patchouli on the jacket. My test was 3 weeks ago and 3 days ago I could still smell the patchouli on the jacket. As I said - this fragrance is very long-lasting.

I don't want to say that it's not beautiful, because it is - but unfortunately not for me. If you were disappointed with the original and would have preferred more vanilla and less lavender, Mon Guerlain Intense would be worth a try.

When I smelled this fragrance for the first time, I actually wanted to smell Shalimar. I did and wasn't entirely convinced. Then the saleswoman sprayed Mon Guerlain and I was in love.

The lavender and bergamot combine with the vanilla and flowers to create a wonderful feel-good, cozy fragrance. The lavender and bergamot float above the rest before being captured by the flowers. The vanilla is present almost all the time and makes the fragrance warm and soft. I can detect the lavender the whole time, at some point only slightly in the background, but still there. That's exactly what I like about the fragrance: the interplay of lavender and vanilla, which makes the vanilla interesting.

The fragrance also lasts very well on me, I can still smell it after 8 hours.

This fragrance was the first fragrance in my collection.

It starts with a lovely fresh mandarin that lingers for a while. Together with the basil, the opening is very fresh. I notice something floral and a little spicy and the tangerine recedes a little. With the vanilla and sandalwood, it becomes warmer and sweeter in the drydown. It is not as fresh as the other two and is therefore also suitable for winter. I find the other two versions more suitable for summer.

The longevity is very good on my skin, I can still smell it after 7 hours. Mandarin Basilic Forte is a wonderful warm citrus fragrance that I think you can wear all the time.

When I saw this fragrance while shopping the other day, I had to try it out.

It seems even fresher and juicier than the original and very long-lasting. You can immediately smell the mandarin, which smells like freshly sliced, and the basil. Together, the two scents linger for hours. For me, the mandarin is not sweet, but a little bitter, like the peel. The fragrance hardly changes and remains fairly linear. The tangerine becomes weaker as the fragrance progresses, but is always perceptible. Compared to the original, this one is a fresher, juicier mandarin and the fragrance is even fresher and spicier overall. It also lasts longer.

I find it nicer than the original Mandarin Basilic because it smells fresher and lasts longer. A very nice summer fragrance or in winter when you need something brightening.
