Grand Soir meets Blond Amber +?
Fortunately, I saw the ratings and reviews in advance. Why fortunately? Because you get something different here than you expected.

The top and heart notes still play such a big role here.

Freshly sprayed on, I smell a perfume to which I have yet to find a comparison. I smell pink pepper and tobacco.

The base is the strongest over the entire shelf life and with a fairly strong sillage.

A few days ago 3 or 4 I tested XXI: Art Deco - Blonde Amber and again Grand Soir, on my left and right arm, as usual.

I thought to myself, what fragrances does Centaurus remind you of, the vanilla notes (good and authentic) benzoin in resinous form with some jasmine and rose geranium, the pepper also comes in every now and then. Strongly reminiscent of XXI: Art Deco - Blonde Amber without this tuberose, which I didn't like anyway, I also see the Grand Soir, although the Centaurus is not so classic and a little less old-fashioned.

I think the fragrance comes off a little too badly here, which I can understand, because you would expect a different fragrance and because it is a Creed.... Super high expectations etc.

Bormbeere, leather, no similarity to Widian London
I'm currently testing all kinds of fragrances with raspberry / oud / leather.

So far Aswan London Extrait de Parfum Infusion Velours Eau de Parfum I am still waiting for the Sillage.

However, Infusion Velours doesn't really fit in with the Widian fragrances.

The blackberry is much stronger here (at least at the beginning) than the raspberry in the Widian fragrances.

The oud is much more subtle and the leather is so strong that it smells like plastic and burnt electronics to me from time to time.

It's a well-made strong fragrance, but you have to be really into leather here.

The fresh not blue gentleman
How do I start?
For at least 15 years I have always had a few designer fragrances, Armani Code, also different variants, the same applies to Aqua di Gio, Versace pour Homme Eau de Toilette was also always there.

Then I got deeper into the world of fragrances and fragrances from the niche world followed, which made me dislike many designer fragrances, too synthetic, no clear aromas, etc.

By chance, I came across the Dunhill that I'm talking about here very cheaply.

I thought OK, probably something along the lines of Versace pour Homme Eau de Toilette or one of the Bleu de Chanel perfumes.

After testing it was clear, no, it smells completely different.

I mainly smell juniper, sage, bergamot, neroli and pepper.

With this fragrance, I don't become scent-blind, I smell it every now and then for at least 8 hours... Fresh, spicy sweet and somehow tart at the same time, a gentleman's fragrance.

I actually thought that, like other fragrances that tend to come from the designer corner, I would soon no longer like it, but that's not the case.

I have now tested some of the Dunhill fragrances, the Icon Racing (Red Edition) is also great for the money I think the fragrances stand out from the crowd.

With the Signature Collection you get a niche for little money.

The extraordinary
Now I already own and have tested a few Dunhilll fragrances.

The Signature Collection is really great, here you get fragrances that are not so synthetic and smell really niche at really outstanding prices.

But there is often a surprise with the signature fragrances, the fragrances don't necessarily smell as you would expect based on the notes.

This fragrance here is really interesting, it's not the classic blue or an aquatic as you might expect.

You can smell all the notes listed, I have a hard time with the basil, I might smell it in a mixture with the bamboo.

But it definitely smells somehow noridsch and fougere in the mixture of notes.

It's a summer fragrance, the performance is better in every way than the Xerjoff Torino 21 I'm wearing on my left arm and the Dunhill on my right.

The sweetness in the fragrance has a bit of vanilla about it.

My girlfriend smells it on both arms, we both really like the Torino 21, but it doesn't stand out either.

My girlfriend smells my arm and says mmmhhmmm... it smells very good.

I'm glad I bought the Dunhill for the little money.

Barbecue evening in Greece
It's very special, anyone expecting a fragrance along the lines of Aventus or Emperor Extrait is mistaken.

On paper, you can already smell the pineapple and strong salty smoke with pink pepper.

On my skin there is minimal pineapple after about 90 minutes before that there is a lot of salty smoke, olives, roasted peppers and smoky paprika powder, no more and no less.
