Creed is going downhill from here
You can tell by the names of their new releases that the house it's a piece of garbage nowadays. Creed is now Parfums de marley 2.0 , just look at the names: centaurus, delphinus, carmina... wtf, are these fragrances made for Disneyland? They also removed ambergris from all their fragrances and now they use ambroxan just like designer fragrances. All of their recent batches and their recent releases including Centaurus, smell synthetic and cheap. This is a very bad attempt at an oriental spicy fragrance, tobacco, cinnamon, vanilla and tonka are the main players here..and it's just bad. Doesn't smell like Creed at all... it's just like a parfums de marley or any designer brand. Dissapointing

Going against the grain
Though I'm no Creed expert by any means, compared to what I have smelled by Creed, Centaurus seems to be almost the complete opposite of the kind of fragrances they tend to make. This is not a bad thing, but its definitely a strange choice to make given that spicy fragrances of this caliber haven't ever found themselves a part of the Creed repertoire. Centaurus opens with a dry, spicy tobacco note. There is some warmth in the opening, but I mainly got the smoky tobacco and pepper notes. As it dries it keeps the tobacco front and center, but has a brief period of citrusy freshness to it in the middle, which feels out of place, but doesn't smell bad by any means. The dry down gets extremely warm and dense, and almost smells like a kind of apple pie. There's definitely some ambery-vanilla going on in the dry down, as well as a hint of a powdery tonka. This is quite a well blended scent overall, with a great balance of notes, lots of variety, and even a nice touch of gourmand thrown in. It manages to stay warm and cozy without ever being overpowering or synthetic.

Overall, I'm pleased with Centaurus. I love the way it smells, and it's nice to see Creed shake things up a bit. I don't see myself picking up a full bottle of this anytime soon, but I will certainly enjoy my decant while I have it. I highly recommend those who enjoy spicy oriental fragrances, and even those who enjoy gourmands, give this a try!

Yes but.....
I will always enjoy this scent profile. Spicy, sweet tobacco. Very smooth. Creed is stepping into a new realm and they're not doing bad at all. The bottle is very sexy. However, $545 for a full bottle?! Come on Creed! Even you know this is ridiculous! I'd get better value from Ambre Tabac Eau de Parfum which is actually a much better value in my opinion. All in all, this is a lovely fragrance with a BS price tag.

CINNAMON TOBACCO IN A CASHMERE SWEATER
Centaurus opens with a bright, almost effervescent burst. There’s a definite citrusy sparkle, even if citrus isn’t officially listed. The opening also has a soapy, slightly medicinal vibe, likely courtesy of the geranium. There’s a hint of powderiness that feels like heliotrope doing its soft-focus magic. As it settles, the composition gradually becomes warmer, leaning into soft vanillic and ambery tones.
After about an hour, it becomes fairly linear. What you smell is what you get, and it stays in its comfort zone without much evolution.

The tobacco here is sweet, light, and super easygoing. It has apple undertones and is generously spiced with cinnamon, which is one of the main stars of the show. Honestly, it feels like Creed's take on the “apple pie tobacco” theme. Think Ambre Narguilé’s cleaner, more buttoned-up cousin who always arrives early and never forgets to say thank you.

Performance is decent. Nothing beastly, but it holds its own. You won’t choke out a room, but you will get the occasional “you smell nice” from close range.

Centaurus is well-blended, smooth, and pleasantly safe. It’s not wildly original, but it's not offensively synthetic either. Think crowd-pleaser in a cashmere sweater. The cinnamon note is particularly charming; warm, inviting, and just spicy enough to keep things interesting.

As for gender, it's perfectly unisex without leaning too far in either direction. Not too masculine, not too feminine — just effortlessly wearable, like a well-fitted pair of jeans and a white T-shirt.

Smoothly sweet/powdery/spicy tobacco
First proper sampling of Centaurus, one of Creed’s most recent releases, released seemingly as a pair with Delphinus. Whereas Delphinus is centered on orris, to my nose, Centaurus is centered on tobacco, anchored by similar supporting notes of pepper, vanilla, patchouli, and tonka, a sort of sweet, spicy, sharp tobacco that’s smoothly and sophisticatedly put together, with restraint shown in all three areas, making it somewhat year-round-friendly despite being clearly more apt (to me) for colder weather, with good performance. None of the supporting notes shine through as much as the vanilla, I’d argue, the tobacco first, vanilla second pairing being the most central, despite the fragrance as a whole not really resembling other tobacco/vanilla pairings. It definitely leans sharp and powdery and sweet vs. spicy, so it’s not, say, on the spiciness level of Atelier Cologne Tobacco Nuit or even the milder Aramis Tobacco Reserve. This rather has its own balance which even includes some earthiness via geranium and patchouli, albeit exceeded slightly by the powdery sweet vibe fostered by the vanilla/tonka/benzoin blend.

As with Delphinus, the quality is very high, the performance is very good, but the retail pricing is astounding(ly bad), at $545/400 for 100/50ml, but discounters seem to have the fragrances in stock in the grey market, since they were originally released a few months ago.

Overall, though, I think it’s outstanding even if not quite the achievement that Delphinus is, and I’m really pleased with the release. I could certainly wear this most days in cool weather and be very happy with it.

First impressions: slightly more cinnamon-y version of Tobacolor/Arabesque/Tobacco Honey. Not groundbreaking but really smooth.

the great protagonist is a sweet tobacco, but not excessively so, which makes it truly enjoyable.

This is in a genre, but also unique. It is a spicy tobacco done with the crisp airy Creed DNA. Drydown has a clay/playdoh like vibe. 9/10

Basically a more refined Triumph of Bacchus Eau de Parfum. So smooth! I'm sure there are some white peaches here too! ;)

Syrupy floral spicy amber. Similar vibe as Xerjoff 400 but not as distinguished.

Have only tested this on strips, but to me there is no reason to ever choose this over Delphinus. Reminds me of a bathroom at the pool (idk)

Spicy and oriental. Peppers in the opening with something reminiscent of a sweet cough syrup. The sweetness dies after a while into woods.

Primarily an oriental-spicy-sweet fragrance of tobacco & cinnamon, I get relevant overlap with Clive Christian's E: Gourmande Oriental.

Unique cinnamon-amber opening with a bold twist, but the patchouli-heavy base turns divisive. Distinct but not for everyone.
