First a Flop, then a Top
The title summarizes my first review here in the forum quite well.
As a complete novice, I impulsively bought a bottle here in a blind buy.
I quickly realized that buying an entire bottle blind is not the right approach for me.
Exciting yes, right no.
My first impression of the scent was sobering; I felt overwhelmed by the intensity of the sweetness and the powdery fragrance.
So, I put it in the cupboard and ignored it for a long time, letting it "gather dust."
Now, nearly a year later, after reopening the reviews here and hearing more and more about layering this scent, I dared to awaken it from its deep sleep and intuitively reached for my favorite from this summer, "Light Blue pour Homme Forever | Dolce & Gabbana."
And lo and behold, the fresh citrus almost completely takes away the sweet, swelling top note of "Qasamat Bareeq | Rasasi." For me personally, the two complement each other wonderfully! After a few hours, only the Bareeq remains, fading out pleasantly rosy.
Now, a bit about the longevity and the bottle.
The longevity far exceeds that of all other fragrances I have tested so far. If you apply it in the morning after showering, it will still be there with you the next morning.
The bottle itself looks very high-quality; unfortunately, my spray head seems to have a flaw, turning it almost into a fragrance gun. However, since this problem does not seem to be common, it is probably just my bottle.
I cannot draw a comparison to the often-mentioned BR-540, as I have not yet had the chance to smell it.
Conclusion:
For me, it has now become a very good base for layering; I personally would not wear it on its own. I can well imagine that many would find it wonderful on its own; the potential is there.
The price-performance ratio is definitely right, even if you only want to use it for layering.
I hope my first Parfumo review hits the mark, and I wish you a pleasant day.
