Refreshing simplicity that always goes
There are fragrances that you find so exceptionally good that you never wear them. Too special, too loud, not suitable for work. And then there are such as this one.

Admittedly, at the first sniff I did not know this classic yet. High expectations were disappointed accordingly. What? That was it already? Smells fresh-citrusy - and further? But with the warm days I learned to appreciate this classic, because it really always goes. Whether it's for leisure, office, university, it will always be fresh and clean. No one will turn their nose up at it. Well, as a perfume connoisseur you are certainly not perceived with this milk glass water, but I do not want that at all! As a rule, you just want to come fresh and clean through the tropical temperatures and that's exactly what this fragrance can do quite wonderfully.

L'Eau d'Issey is just one of those fragrances that you can apply without even a second thought. The durability on the skin is not particularly good with me, but thanks to the low price, this is not so wild. On the contrary, maybe my psyche is playing tricks on me, but even at room temperature in summer, the spray somehow feels fresher and cooler than other Freshies in my collection. Since I like to spray after!

The bottle is, as usual with Issey, a little show-off. Huge is the cap. Not so mine, but the glass bottle knows with its frosted glass to please. As always with Issey, it amazes me how good the atomizer yet compared to more expensive fragrances of Chanel & Co are.

All in all, a fragrance that should not be missing in my collection in the future.

Clean man, only for a short time
After I already tore Playboy New York apart here, both fragrances ended up in the cellar in Sippenhaft. Today while cleaning up I sprayed the wrongly banished London on the arm again. In the first moment London smells like alcohol as usual for the price. After half a minute it reminds me a lot of Montblanc Individuel. It smells clean, sweet and a bit fresh. In short, somehow pleasant, like fabric softener. After a few more minutes the spicier undertone comes up. Not too strong, not too weak. All in all quite pleasant. Why the scent here is so badly rated, I can't understand. Maybe not world class, but 5.9? I would give my batch (2018) a 7.0. In the slightly warm spring or summer I can imagine it well.
Unfortunately the durability is pretty bad, which is not surprising considering the price. After 2 hours it should be gone and there is not much Sillage in it. He is a rather skin-tight clean man. For the price of 5€ / 100ml but quite interesting.

Christmas cookies to spray
One of my first fragrances, due to the pirouetting Jeremy and the amazingly low price (200ml for a ridiculous €22.50). The fragrance still smells strongly alcoholic on the breath for the first minute. Only after one minute the lavender comes through. The scent was rightly described as a sweet scent, because that is what you smell the first few minutes. Slowly the spice increases. After 10 minutes the smell reminds me strongly of Spekulatius and other spicy Christmas delicacies. All in all a very delicious, gourmand fragrance for the first hours. At the end of the course, the tobacco comes through again and relaxes the sweet breeze a little, which I like very much.

Overall I like the fragrance composition quite well. It is admittedly quite sweet, but is also bleached out by the seasoning. Of course the scent is not particularly high-quality/natural, but it simply smells delicious to bite into. But exactly this is also a problem for me, because after a good hour I have already "enough" of it. Even in cold January, the question arises: Do I really want to smell like a Christmas plate full of speculoos? For me, therefore, a fragrance that is probably somewhat limited in its scope for many people. I really cannot imagine wearing this fragrance while the first crocuses are in bloom. He's just too sweet, too heavy and too... Christmassy? For me therefore a fragrance for the cold and dark winter, but at the latest in spring I prefer to put it away.

The silage is fine. Not crass but not bad either. For a good 2 hours I smell him clearly and I am also smelled. After that he takes off a little bit but keeps a good 6-7 hours in total, which is also totally ok for the price
The flacon is probably a matter of taste. Probably due to the young (?) audience he seems very youthful. Not my cup of tea, but for the price, not too bad.

Turkish pepper not for everyone...
...and unfortunately not for me! But from the beginning: the fragrance starts strongly citric. Too citric for me. Malicious tongues would dare to make a citrus-scouring milk comparison. Fortunately, the citrus effect quickly diminishes a bit and the trademark icon comes out. Pepper, pepper, and pepper again. The peppery note is really very intense. I felt a little like sniffing a pepper pot. At this point the spirits will probably also separate. The intensity is really amazing and special, but for some (including me) just too strong. After a good hour the pepper layer relaxes a little. The sage and the lavender come out noticeably and remind me, despite the lack of sweetness, of strong spicy sweets. The North German may know pepper liquorice (Turkish pepper). That's about how the icon smells to me. Dominant for my nose remains for it however completely clearly the pepper.

A really very intense and high-quality fragrance, but with the best will in the world it does not meet my taste. It is really special and probably cannot be worn by everyone. You should definitely get a bottling instead of making a blind purchase. Silage and shelf life are all right, but nothing special. But the flacon is completely different, because it is indisputably a real eye-catcher.

Formerly cheap, now cheap
New York used to be one of the decent Playboy fragrances along with VIP and London. Sometime between 14 and 16 times to get a birthday and positively surprised. The fragrance was the first perfume to convince. Fresh, sweet and youthful the good drop. And this at a price of approx. 5 - 10€ / 100ml. The durability is rather poor, but it has always been enough for school. For me at that time a sufficient and above all affordable fragrance, which was bought accordingly often. The one or other compliment from those of the same age was also paid to New York - what more could you want? At some point, I lost sight of Playboy. In the meantime it was reissued with a new flacon, so that I was hooked by the low price again. Instead of the hoped-for nostalgia, however, the first scent impression was biting alcohol and after that...nothing. Only after a few minutes the somewhat familiar sweetish note slowly emerges, only to vanish completely after 2 hours, weakening and disappointing. Fake? Bad batch? A newly ordered 3 months younger batch delivered the same result. For checking purposes I ordered the Playboy London - also in the new flacon. This one still smells pretty good
I am therefore disappointed. Formerly a buy recommendation for the young owner of a chronically empty wallet. In the meantime I can't recommend this fragrance to anyone, even for 5€. Then I'd rather go to London.
