I would never have bought this fragrance, but I received it as a gift, and it was a total disappointment.
It barely lasts two or three hours and has no soul, no passion, no complexity.
Maybe this was an attempt to create something that could be worn as a daily driver, but at best, maybe just for the gym.
It’s simply not worth the attention.
Burlington
I had to try the fragrance everyone seems to be talking about — Roja Burlington 1819.
My expectations were a fresh, summery scent, well put together in the typical Roja style.
Two sprays on the neck, one on the chest under the shirt, and one on the wrist was my dosage, and the opening was quite bombastic — citrusy, loud, and refreshing.
Then the cumin comes in, which is a critical point for many people, but I find it tolerable. After that, it settles down, and I can finally detect the tobacco note I had been looking for all along — something I enjoy in every fragrance.
I give it 8.5/10.
Tabacco smeraldo
This is the most specific tobacco fragrance I’ve ever encountered.
It feels as if you’re standing in a tobacco harvest, experiencing that raw, unprocessed character firsthand. A scent that constantly sits on the edge between being publicly wearable and something you’d keep just for yourself — yet it always manages to stay wearable.
Longevity: 10+ hours
Projection: 8/10
Puredistance Black
Puredistance Black won me over completely by accident, on the recommendation of a saleswoman in a perfume store.
I bought it from the official website because there was a good promotion going on, and I ended up getting a fragrance that smells expensive, elegant, and discreet to me. That was exactly my goal, and I wanted to move a bit away from the Amouage collection that I already have.
On my skin, the fragrance lasts through an entire workday — 8+ hours — with moderate projection.
I’d rate it 8.5/10.
