Inharmonious for me
I think this "Monk | Art of Scent Swiss Perfumes" is not (yet) at peace with himself regarding his decision to live in a monastery. I experience this fragrance as inharmonious.
The start with synthetics, turpentine and rubber puts me off at first. Then, quite quickly, slightly coked oud comes around the corner. It seems to me that someone is grumbling to themselves and every now and then - metaphorically speaking - a puff of smoke rises from the nostrils.
This is followed after a while by a cream with floral and slightly fruity-sweet (carrot seed) notes, which is friendly and pleasant and puts a smile on my monk's face. Now he seems reconciled to his existence. Is it a delicious dessert from the monastery kitchen or is it the beautifully fragrant garden?
I can't get these two scent versions together and therefore find it inharmonious.
I can't make out vetiver, it might be lost at the start.

From terrible to "Where are you?
The start is absolutely awful. Turpentine in its worst form + a black tea that has steeped for several hours. After about 20 minutes, it becomes a perfume: woody, creamy, gets softer and softer, after 1 hour I have to look for the scent... Let's see. A slightly fruity note is still apparent. Withdraws very quickly from my skin and hardly gives off anything. Even with me now (after about 3 hours) I recognize the currant with a little cream, but only with the nose on the skin.
Conclusion: That was nothing. Terrible start and then a "find-me" fragrance and the price I just googled: 145.00 €/50 ml.

Velvety wood combined with fruity rose
Tam Dao starts off sourly woody for me. After a very short time, it takes on that familiar velvety sandalwood touch. Light cream joins in after a short time. The most irritating thing after about 2 hours is a fruity, slightly sweet note that reminds me of raspberry. ... I browse through the existing reviews and statements and read something about rose in some of them. Okay, some roses smell very fruity. But where does the rose come from or the ambergris that is also mentioned?
For orientation, I took a look at the fragrance pyramid at Fragrantica and it looks different from the one listed here. There you can still find rose, spices, rosewood, ambergris and musk. That now also fits in with my fragrance life.
Today I sprayed myself with Tam Dao for the third time, and I notice that the sour woody note just flies past me at the beginning and I notice the velvety sandalwood more quickly. Later on, it becomes "rose"-fruity, creamy and spicy until Tam Dao slowly (6 - 7 hours) leaves my skin.
Overall, I like TD, but it doesn't make my eyes sparkle.

But that took a while
But it took a while... until
Eau de Coton really showed itself to me.
No sooner had I written my statement, submitted my review, etc., than I had a creamy, orange-infused fragrance in my nose. I could have sworn it was grinning at me. And a few hours later, I had a subtle but spicy woody note on my skin.
To summarize, "Eau de Coton" is now for me a creamy fragrance that starts with fresh orange and ends with a spicy woody note. The cream is overlaid by the orange note for as long as it lasts.
The sillage is medium, and the lasting power is medium to long when I run my nose directly over the sprayed skin.
Drawback: the orange cleaner note already mentioned in the statement remains in the top note for around half an hour.

Orange + flower cream
D. starts with me heavy, floral-creamy and oppressive. I spontaneously feel reminded of a Penhaligon fragrance.... But after about 15 minutes, the orange creeps up and also drags its peel behind it, bringing a turpentine association. After a while, it all blends and gives a sweet fruity-floral creamy scent mi a slight tartness of orange peel. At some point, it all blends into a fruity-floral and creamy fragrance.
On the second day, the orange dominates: fresh, fruity with a certain sweetness. This flies up again and again and holds so the whole day. Only later, when I sniff times with my nose above the wrist, I notice that the flower cream has docked there. The shell I now no longer perceive at all.
The test course shows me that my nose already on the 2nd day the fragrance sorted differently than the first spray.
H/S: I can perceive the fragrance throughout the day. I do not pull a fragrance cloud behind me, but yet he is always present. The charisma is close to the person.
I like #Dilmun well.
