Great caramel bargain buy - sweet, zesty, warm
Smells mostly like warm, soft caramel chews - with a dash of powdery vanilla + fresh orange. Doesn't last long, but it's uncomplicated and lovely for the price (typical performance for this fragrance line; often performs more like a body mist).

It's carried at TJX stores, but these are hit or miss. You can also test this out at Urban Outfitters, by checking your local store inventory online to see if they carry it.

Comparing: OG Dream Angels Heavenly vs. 2022 Heavenly
Comparing this OG formula (same bottle design pictured but with the white heart cap), against the newest release (available now in VS stores as of 2022):

OG:
- cardamom takes center stage throughout, and mimics somewhat of a subtle saffron or curry edge; makes it feel like something to wear on a chilly fall night
- the other notes are blended so perfectly that it's hard to tell what else is in the background other than something soapy, musky, powdery, "cashmeran", and cozy
- all notes remain present during wear

CURRENT:
- no cardamom is present, which is the biggest difference; this takes off the "spicy" edge and leaves the fragrance feeling only clean, soapy, fresh with a subtle, sweet musk in the background
- smells like a "sexy soapy" fragrance
- suitable for wear anywhere, any time of year, any time of day or night
- if you love "lactonic baby wipe" fragrances, you'll love this

FINAL VERDICT:
- while I do love the OG formula, I actually prefer the current over the OG
- OG's spice feels too intimate to me for something casual, and also seems like it wouldn't work as well for spring/summer as it feels very cozy
- OG's spice does give it a special, unique, and alluring feel, that would be perfect for special occasions

Best "laundry" release from Clean
I've tried quite a few of Clean's laundry scents, and I have to say this one is my favorite from the line!

I'm very picky about detergent-like perfumes - it can't be too synthetic, too sharp, and I usually prefer something more neutral all the way around (not too floral, too masculine, etc.).

This one smells very aquatic, and like fresh, pure cotton sheets taken straight out of the dryer - but you didn't over-use the detergent. There's just a hint of lemon freshness mixed in, but it's a very refreshing lemon that doesn't smell like cleaners.

To me, the breakdown is:
- 60% "neutral" aquatic/ozonic (not masculine leaning)
- 20% cotton/"linens"
- 10% powdery aldehydes
- 10% fresh lemon juice (not sweetened, just freshly squeezed lemons and nothing else)

My overall favorite "fresh/detergent" smell is still BBW's Sea Island Shore (mist formula pre-2022; this year's version is not the same) - nothing can top that one in my book - but this is a great one too.

Fruity-cherry blossom - perfect for winter
I've tried all of the different BBW cherry blossom variations, and this new spin is by far my favorite! What I smell is:

- 45% fresh, powdery cherry blossom (lighter and more youthful than BBW's Japanese Cherry Blossom)
- 25% black cherries (not listed as a note, but smells present)
- 20% refreshingly-cool red berries
- 10% subtle, silky musk (almost like a "milky amber" or "cashmeran" note)

The combo is very clean, soapy, fruity, and a little bit "chilly" (the darker fruits). Perfect everyday scent, great for winter or spring. Projects well, especially for a body mist!

Caution: the liquid is dyed BRIGHT red, and dries to a light pink that doesn't go away... so BEWARE of spraying this near anything white! I wait until it dries completely on my skin before dressing, and stick to darker colors when wearing.

Metallic/play-doh notes in dry-down
This had a lot of hype around it, and I'm a huge gourmand/vanilla lover - but it was unfortunately a synthetic vanilla, with unpleasant dry down notes for me.

There was a metallic, almost play doh-like feel to it that was very noticeable - similar to what has also happened to me for years in dry down with BBW's 1) Warm Vanilla Sugar and 2) Cashmere.

You may not notice these notes, and end up loving it! But I noticed them during every type of testing (air, tester strip, and my own skin) - so it ultimately wasn't my cup of tea.
