The Summer Fresh Temptation
I tried this today while out and about... Could I handle a fragrance on a warm summer day? A lot can be annoying, but something fresh would be nice. However, fresh scents are a bit of a dilemma for me; either I don’t like them or they don’t last on me. I don’t want to have to reapply after an hour, and who knows if others can still smell it. - So I strolled through the department of a department store, looking here and there... Everything too expensive, or just mainstream, etc. - Then I noticed this bottle on the back of a column. Cherry Blossom, could this be something for teenagers? But Arden? And Green Tea, that’s well-known, that’s serious. I sniffed it, sprayed it on paper, and found it worthy to put on my skin. - Honestly, I’m thrilled. The first impression is great, fruity, a bit tangy. At times it’s almost too tangy, but then this fresh fruitiness develops. Is that cherry? Maybe, it doesn’t really matter, I can’t place it, but it feels somehow familiar. I can really handle the tanginess well, even though I usually don’t like it, it just fits summer; could it also be orange? (Oranges in summer, that’s usually never true)
Now it’s been over 4 hours, and I can still smell it. And that for a summer scent. 20 euros, that could be worth it to me, especially since my favorite summer scent from Lancaster Aquazur has been discontinued. Yes, Cherry Blossom, such a 'Green Tea' is definitely different from that one - maybe it’s nothing special, but it feels good! I recommend giving it a try :-)

Wonderful, not intrusive, warm scent that fits quite often
I owe it to Turandot, (THANK YOU!) that I discovered this fragrance, as she sent me a sample. And I was excited from the very first moment, as it quickly developed into a pleasant scent for me.
Yes, sweet, but such a pleasant sweetness, that warmth which can surely be worn in summer as well. I don’t smell any coffee, but I can imagine that it is present.
Everything is perfectly balanced, nothing really dominant. Definitely not an EdP for someone who wants the world to turn around and wonder what this could be (although, who knows... it depends on what you want)
But it is certainly a fragrance that evokes something pleasant for many: - whether it’s the coffee break with juicy cake and cookies or the warm breeze of a summer day that still lingers in the air in the evening. -
I don’t smell anything floral, but there is a very faint freshness that comes through, very, very distant, but that’s just fine. A hazelnut leaf is also quite imaginable; I think it could be perceivable early in the morning with morning dew on it. (I need to try that when the time comes)
It’s really not strongly noticeable on me, this beautiful scent, so it doesn’t envelop me. But it is still simply lovely; I particularly notice it at the beginning when I spray it on.
And unfortunately, that’s the only downside; it fades around me relatively quickly,
but it can still be smelled on my clothing, for example, the scarf I’m wearing, even in the evening! And then I just think: Beautiful!!!
If fragrances also work somewhat like homeopathy, and that cannot be denied, if you’re not looking for a showstopper but for something subtle that is still special and very feminine, then you should definitely try this fragrance.

Powdery, powdery - pleasant warmth - but actually not that sweet
Now I would like to give this fragrance a good review again. As we all know, perception and development can vary greatly depending on individual body chemistry and skin. - So, I gifted Jil (without Sensual) to my daughter some time ago. Of course, I liked it myself, and it didn't quite leave my mind. I don't see my daughter that often, so it wasn't because I kept smelling it. Still, I don't want to wear exactly the same fragrance as my daughter. (Although it would be interesting to see how differently it affects each of us).
I have rediscovered my old weakness for powdery scents through this fragrance, and Jil is definitely that for me.
Now I can even make a comparison, as Irielle kindly sent me a beautiful miniature of Jil. -
I find Sensual very powdery; at first, this powderiness almost overwhelms me.
With Jil, it's more the fruity notes that I perceive at the beginning; the powderiness comes later.
I find it really strange that the two fragrances differ so much, even though they are quite similar - did they really take everything out of Sensual and yet it remains so similar? ??
So, now I’ll stick with Sensual: Once the powderiness has faded a bit after about 15 minutes, I notice something that could be blackberries, a hint of vanilla in the background, and somewhere, barely noticeable, a bit of the orange blossoms passing by, slightly bitter.
The powder remains, it wraps around me a bit, giving me a sense of comfort; perhaps it evokes a deep memory, or something like a soft, cozy blanket, which can also be annoying when you don't need a blanket at the moment. - In the distance, Jil Sander Sun occasionally calls out, just a brief hint, but then it's no longer audible (um, smellable). Some have mentioned it being musty... I can't confirm that.
There’s actually hardly any freshness; that might not be bad, but then it would probably be Jil again. .. I'm sniffing it again... it’s true, there’s something sweet, slightly sweet, and thankfully, I think it’s the nicely prepared blackberries after all :-)
Unfortunately, I also find that the scent doesn't last quite long enough. But who knows how it affects others; perhaps it’s just the barely perceptible hint of warmth that seems pleasant. - I think Sensual doesn't deserve boredom; it’s always a question of what one wants. A pleasing scent is often more preferable to me than one that constantly irritates. Also, I haven't noticed any other negatives, and I would say, especially now that it’s cold outside, Sensual is worth a try; it could indeed win.
What really annoys me is that the gift set includes the EDT Sensual with the body lotion Jil. What’s that about? Is it supposed to enhance the forgotten freshness, or did they have so much surplus?
So, I’ll continue to snuggle up, but later, when I want to smell it again myself, I’ll probably have to spray it again; that’s not so great for a fragrance in this price range.
Sensual is not loud; it’s just there and rather subtle for me.

more pleasant than expected - the little surprise on the side
The scent was just lying around in a drugstore, for about 30 euros, and since I had seen the bottle a few times - it has something nice about it - I decided to spray it on. - Phew, I thought after the first waiting seconds, this is too sweet. But now it's on my skin and I always impose a sniffing ban for at least 5 minutes.
- And what happened, it becomes more and more pleasant. The sweetness lingers quite a long time and I didn't know what the content was supposed to be. I kept thinking it must be fruits, something from later summer, not plum, it must be something earlier... I couldn't figure it out, I even thought of cherries, but wasn't sure. Now that I've read it, it's raspberries. Cherries don't have much to do with raspberries, but I'm generally bad at this, I can only reliably distinguish real raspberries from real cherries, etc. ;-) - In any case, I wasn't too far off with the sweet fruits, raspberries are usually sweetened, and that's probably what happened here. They also taste particularly good with cream, I would say, those are the woods and herbs here, cashmere wood, that almost sounds like cream, right? But I didn't know about this cashmere wood back then.
So it's not a fruit bomb, in case that comes across here, everything is only relatively delicate (who wants to smell like a cake from a wood oven?)
It developed wonderfully further, slightly sweet, but always pleasant, I was sure I could smell a bit, just a little vanilla - it's not mentioned here, but I think there's something in it. The woods also resonate a bit, they carry the scent that has simply developed beautifully on my skin. - Nothing overwhelming, but something I don't have yet..
Orange, just lightly in the background, yes that could be the happy from the spirit, even if it's called bitter orange here, or are it the raspberries that actually give the spirit this cheerfulness...?
Oh, no, am I going to weaken now and try this scent too? I am (albeit a little) known not to be a big perfume collector, those times are long gone for me. But... well, one or the other, maybe one can still have, says the little luxury-loving part of me ;-) - Happy Spirit could indeed be it, after all, I am also a very cheerful person, yet with depth.
I smelled this beautiful spirit for several hours, it got rather better than worse.
I think I need to test it again and then see, maybe it will soon be really good on offer ;-)

wonderfully soft and round - worth a gift
I find it quite wonderful, soft, gentle, lightly powdery, and youthful.
A pleasing scent, slightly fruity but in the end, the velvety aspect remains dominant - I almost bought it for myself, but I had already decided on Eve, and I believe that one suits me even better. - To not completely overlook it, and because it was available at a good price, I purchased it as a gift; my daughter will receive it now. I really hope she likes it. She’s a bit like the type from the commercial, well, probably a bit sportier, - so I’ll wait and see what she says and how it develops on her (an update will follow!). - But it could also end up in my collection with the next offer.
But mother and daughter with the same scent, .... hmm, it could develop differently, I know myself ;-)
===
Update: not just light, no, quite powdery, I realize upon trying it again. For my taste, a bit too much, which is why EVE was the better choice for me, even if only a few can imagine that ;-)
Still, this Jil is a nice scent, very harmless, very smooth.
========
Here now Update2: My daughter finds the scent absolutely wonderful, not too noticeable, yet wonderfully soft and recognizable :-)) - She received it as a gift from me for the start of her studies, (who wants to be surrounded by clouds of fragrance in university?)
