HENSTROM

A great summer fragrance that I only own as a manufacturer's sample. I find it special, but unfortunately only the fragrance itself. Read for yourself.

The opening reminds me of Ahoj lemon flavored soda with its sweet citrus and the "candy bracelet" also comes to mind. You know, those bracelets that you can nibble off, for example at the swimming pool.
If you want to float in nostalgia, this could be a good choice.
I don't quite understand where "aquatic" comes from.
I imagine it to be something different from what I perceive here.
The opening is almost exclusively the aforementioned sweets. A subtle freshness hovers in the background, which could be interpreted as aquatic. As if you were nibbling on the bracelet in the pool - that is plausible. But it doesn't smell blue!
It lasts for hours for me. At some point along the way, very soft flowers join in and at some point it gets a little warmer, but the top note plays the main role for me throughout.

I have to say that I don't have the bottle with the actual spray volume, but a sample. Longevity and sillage are... okay. Light and summery. It will definitely not be too penetrating for anyone, if they smell it at all. I find it rather intimate.

This fragrance reminds me of our seminar trip to Genoa in 2023, not so long ago. I had it with me then.
It was one of my first fragrances, bought blind on the way back from the airport after a vacation in Mallorca after hearing good things about it.
Today, I am a little disturbed by the similarity between it and my Le Mâle Eau de Toilette, but they are slightly different. The opening is very similar with powderiness and lavender. This fragrance is very powdery and also clearly sweet, which is already the case for me in the opening.
It has nothing to do with sport, apart from the name. I go to the gym 5 times a week and I can't imagine working out with this on my body. It's too powdery, too beautiful and too relaxing to have anything to do with sport - when you hear "sport" in the name, you tend to think of shower gel fragrances or something fresh.
You could use it all day in Italy. In the morning at breakfast, on trips to the beach or out to dinner in the evening. It always works and somehow even has something elegant and grown-up about it.
It's a shame about the bottle. I still have the old one with the silver design. The silver is probably plastic and the bottle makes a really noticeable creak when you hold it in your hand. There is no cap. Unfortunately, it feels a bit cheap when you hold it in your hand and it rattles all the time. However, I really like the volume of the atomizer.
You can't complain, especially for the price. You don't carry the bottle around with you as an accessory :D You buy it for the great all-rounder fragrance inside.
It also lasts a long time, so you can't complain.

I ordered a sample and am testing it for the second time today.
When I tried it for the first time recently, I was lying in bed on a day off in the morning and was catapulted ZACK into the cool stairwell in Hanover 5 seconds after spraying it on. I'm now sitting on the steps on the first floor. It's cool here, paint is peeling off the walls and it smells extremely like cigarettes. Not even freshly smoked. A cold, soaked cigarette smell that makes everything around it stink.
What follows next is what I notice most in the scent, apart from the smoking stairwell. I will probably never get the stairwell out of my head again when I smell the fragrance. In any case, raspberry definitely comes through for me. Now we have smoky raspberry. Maybe I don't have enough leather experience and this is actually leather. That would explain the different descriptions, which for me are just assertions, because as I said, I get raspberry and smoky raspberry. The good old "ashtray" comes to mind. I'm not the first person to have to name it.
I don't have much more to say about it.
I have just tested it extensively for the second time on a long walk with a lot of body heat build-up and even after 2 hours on my skin, I still get nothing other than what is described.
While walking, I occasionally caught the scent of raspberry jam in the air. You could also imagine an absolute asso chain smoker who smokes 5 fags for breakfast at 11am in his one-bedroom apartment, which he hardly ever leaves, storing them in the ashtray 20cm from his plate while he smears a slice of untoasted white bread toast with raspberry jam.
When I just smelled my T-shirt collar, I was shocked at how much ashtray and how little raspberry there is. On clothes, it just seems to make you smell like a smoker. I'm not trying this out specifically for the review :D

I don't have much to add.
Starts with lemon and bergamot, both of which must have been lying in the sun for a few hours (not nearly in a negative sense).
Then the lemon disappears over time, while musk joins in again. I get the bergamot from start to finish, which means about 2 days on clothes.
This fragrance is old-school and simply reminds me of Italy and a relatively wealthy couple in their 60s who used to vacation there. Keyword "longing for Italy".
In addition to this fragrance, I also regularly test Megamare, Terroni, Cuoium and Boccanera and none of them are as pleasant and easy to use as this one. The others are all very edgy, this one could also be in the Nasomatto line as it is easy to wear and actually SELLS GOOD - which is more than you can say for the regular Orto Parisi.

I've owned this fragrance for 3 years now, but it's been somewhat forgotten. I don't get to wear it because for me it's an evening fragrance for the colder days. Preferably for dates in the evenings on colder days. This fragrance therefore throws me back into those cuddly moments every time I wear it... Anyway:

Tonight I wore it for a walk in the dark. By the way, you can also spray it properly. 6 sprays easy. It won't overpower and you don't wear it so often that it would run out. I went on my way and passed a property where people were sitting around a campfire in the garden. You could easily smell the smoke. It struck me that this was a different kind of smoke. My campfire smoke smells different to theirs... Their smoke is more pungent.

This fragrance is beautiful, pleasant, seductive. The cuddly scent par excellence. For me, the scent is like I've burnt my marshmallows horribly and am slowly freeing them from their black coat...
We are camping. Everyone goes to their tents, good night and all, but I've taken my marshmallows into my tent and can't let that sit on me. I pick at them for hours until I've slowly scraped off all the charred bits.
Oh man, the parts are completely liquid inside. Maybe I'm just dreaming. In a panic, I rub the marshmallow drops on my wrist and neck before I have to wake up. A bear peers into my tent and wants to eat my marshmallows. Nope!
Luckily I was only dreaming.
I wake up and my girlfriend is sleeping next to me and hugging me from behind, so it could be worse.
