Am I jaded? A "perfume snob"?

I really do appreciate the internet for exposing me to perfumes that are beyond what is offered in a typical department store. But as a result, I find myself terribly bored when I go physical perfume shopping.

I looked on the Macy's website to possibly find some new releases that I haved heard about yet. Plus I thought I would treat to myself to a purchase. Aside from Flowerbomb, I cycled through all the perfumes and could not find one that piqued my interest. Similar thing happened on the Carson's, Kohl's, and Dillard's websites. I am even growing a little bored of Sephora. However I was smitten by Nordstrom, Nieman Marcus's, and Bloomingdale's selections. Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't step foot in any of those stores (I make a decent amount of money, but I also need to keep a roof over my head). But the selection is SO much better than the former stores listed.

I don't really know where I'm going with this. I have been itching to go into the city to try a bunch of perfumes, but parking alone ($20+) deters me. But it might be an excuse to find something for my mom for Mother's Day.
