Olfactory Oasis
This fragrance holds a very special place for me personally. It is one of the few olfactory creations that has managed to evoke a flood of images, impressions, and the associated emotions right from the first spray or sniff - a kaleidoscopic projection of impressions from deep untouched forests, a true delight for the inner eye. The Encre Noire à L'Extrême starts off for me just like the Encre Noire Eau de Toilette, but it quickly develops a distinctive individuality. The prominent vetiver note, reminiscent of deep dark mossy forest floors, is soon underlined by a subtle smokiness, along with a clearly perceptible accord of coniferous woods. Essentially, it is a rather minimalist fragrance that comes across as truly unique, as such a composition has been a rarity until now, and accordingly, it also has a recognizable character. It is a meditative forest walk in a bottle; one wanders through the ancient woods, where only sparse light penetrates through the dense treetops, and the ground is soft and covered in moss. After a brief rain shower, petrichor and herbal aromas blend together, dense steam rises above the moist earth, in the distance a roe deer barks... the call of a night bird heralds the approaching twilight, the light is now finally fading, and the golden full moon casts its twilight over a dew-covered clearing... I certainly do not wear this fragrance every day, as that would quickly take away the specialness that it undoubtedly possesses. In quiet moments of slowing down, I wear it, close my eyes, and embark on a meditative journey of inner reflection and nature mystique. Even during a "real" forest hike, it is a welcome companion. It feels as if one carries the essence of the forest being traversed and becomes one with it.

Tobacco-tastic Clove Bomb
Clove grower Nepomuk cheerfully flirts around cinnamon mistress Zelda's tobacco plantation. Suddenly, a loud bang, a flaming meteor crashes to earth...

...okay, this time there won't be an elaborate review with an epic story and exciting adventures of fictional fragrance characters. I'll summarize the most important details briefly and concisely: what a hit! The "Amber Oud Tobacco Edition | Al Haramain" starts, in my perception, directly with an extremely dominant clove that wonderfully accompanies tobacco, cinnamon, and vanilla. Immediate associations with gingerbread, mulled wine, and a cozy gathering at the quaint Christmas market in the winding old town. Despite the gourmand notes, it is not a true gourmand; the spiciness of the tobacco becomes too dominant as it develops, while the clove gradually exits the stage. For a more than fair price, you get a beautiful fragrance for the winter season that boasts more than solid longevity and sillage. A blind buy that satisfies me in every respect!

Sinister Rose Knight
In my opinion, Black Friday is 65% a highly potent rose fragrance, paired with a brutal combination of dark leather and saffron; the rest is at best only very subtly perceptible and excellently assists the rose-leather-saffron trio in its strikingly captivating effect. The scent, in its all-encompassing complexity, is brutal, to put it bluntly. There is absolutely nothing subtle about it; it crashes in full force in all directions and olfactorily screams at the surroundings so loudly that the adjective "discreet" slinks away with its tail between its legs. And anyone who still believes that men who are aware of their masculinity cannot wear rose will definitely be confronted with the truth here. Rose is absolutely suitable for men anyway, and in this specially arranged case, it is even accompanied by leather and saffron. So, you wicked rose knights! Strike while this dark floral power brew is still available. For THAT price, in my opinion, you won't find anything comparable in terms of scent DNA and quality. Here’s to rosy times!

Sacred incense par excellence
The Rêve d'Ossian (2012) is one of the few olfactory compositions that managed to captivate me immediately upon first sniff, creating a whirlwind of emotions. Here, a meditative atmosphere is directly established; experiencing this fragrance brings tranquility, introspection, and a sacred aura that gently envelops you, evoking impressions of ancient cathedrals, Gregorian chants, and the sound of bells. In my opinion, this is a true masterpiece of perfumery, a fragrant monument for very special moments of slowing down and inner peace. The scent is neither loud nor intrusive, yet still perceptible to those around. It strikes the perfect balance for this type of perfume; it does not clash but distinctly radiates an olfactory halo. Additionally, the beautiful bottle and high-quality packaging deserve special mention. The yellow tassel fits perfectly with the overall picture, as does the painting-like motif. Lovers of cool sacred smokiness will find everything that makes this type of fragrance so special here.

When even confusion is confused...
"Doctor, the patient would then be ready for the amber infusion!"
"Fine, hand me the bottle, nurse. I’ll dose this guy so heavily that he can leave our facility in just 23 minutes!"
Said and done. Nurse Davana nervously hands Doctor Cardamom from the Musk Rock the "Shaghaf Amber Infusion | Swiss Arabian," but promptly drops it. "You stupid whore!" the Doc snaps and pulls out a new bottle from the depths of his blue jeans. "Good thing I have a backup!" he bellows, uncaps the bottle, and sprays 100ml at the sedated patient towards his jawline. The cloud of fragrance is almost physically tangible, everything shakes and wobbles. "Wait a minute!" Doctor Cardamom from the Musk Rock suddenly exclaims. "This is not an amber infusion! It smells totally like apricot!" Surprised and disgusted at the same time, he throws the empty bottle in a high arc into the fireplace fueled by fresh cedar wood, causing a ginger root to fall to the ground somewhere far away. "That wasn't me." the Doc mumbles into his beard and pulls out his leather whip. "Come on, nurse. We have work to do." Nurse Davana giggles awkwardly. "But, but, Doctor! Shouldn't we first revive the patient? We must still have an antidote for apricot intoxication somewhere in the medicine cabinet..." But the Doc quickly waves her off. "The patient can be discharged as cured!" Determined, but rather casually, he gives the bed a strong shove, sending it along with the patient rolling down the hallway at over 80 miles per hour towards the staircase. And the moral of the story? There isn’t one, but it doesn’t smell like amber!
