Inglebop

Visited a perfumerie and sprayed this once on each of my wrists and once on my neck. Delectable -- "lemon pound cake" is probably too trite of a statement applied to this repeatedly, but I found myself echoing it regardless. It has a very bright opening, although its citrus doesn't have the sharp, fresh bitterness I expect of blood orange, and it mingles pleasantly with lightly toasty sugar. No acerbic or spicy nature to it, I didn't really manage to pick out the lavender until I read the notes, but I'm a bit congested! Wafts pleasantly at arm's length, I could've sprayed more aggressively, but it felt a little too sweet for my taste. It continues to mellow out into something even sweeter and yeasty, not a very dark caramel, the murmur of cinnamon behind it, and doesn't become creamy or sticky or powdery or cloying but does have a playdoh quality on my skin, not quite fully transforming. i found it stopped developing around the two hour mark into somewhat of a "solid" scent. I sprayed at 7PM, and my lover could still smell it the next morning on my skin at 9AM. Lovely gourmand.

Got a 2ml decant from Scent Split, sprayed once on each wrist and once on my neck. Has a syrupy boba scent to start with, particularly on paper, and then immediately dries down to a pleasant peach, on the candylike / synthetic side to me. Scents tend to stick very close to me, and I'd say it radiates at arm's length for an hour or so, then begins to hover around my skin. Turned significantly more buttery after that, veering on playdoh, and stays there -- I'd say biscuit and pastry notes are quite accurate. The coconut is subtle but rounds it out. Leans more juvenile as a gourmand scent for me, I have a feeling my younger sister in college would adore this, but it's a more full bodied sweet scent, not too cloying for everyday, passable for the office since the sillage was almost nonexistent for me after a bit. Still very edible and yummy, especially around that one hour mark, my boyfriend liked it especially in those first moments.
