Cheerful Peach or Summer at the Swimming Lake
…this association only comes after 15-20 minutes. When first sprayed, there is indeed a sparkling, crystal-clear, slightly fruity sugar in the air.

After those 15 minutes, overripe juicy peaches appear. They are cut into small pieces, bathing in their juice, sprinkled with sugar, and all mixed with vanilla yogurt.
The creaminess must come from the musk, which lays over the fruitiness and makes everything round, soft, and creamy.
And it makes me think of youth and summer. I would have loved to wear this scent at 16 by the swimming lake. Carefree warm summer days, being silly with friends, giggling, talking, flirting a little, chatting with the crush, and when he sits so close next to you, he notices how beautifully you smell. He gets peach yogurt ice cream for both of you from the kiosk and shares his dreams. With sunshine in your heart and a smile on your face, you ride home tired.

So I see this scent more suited for younger women, as it is not loud, not femme fatale. Rather, it embodies that delicate natural beauty, a light-footed joy of life that simply exists and needs no frills. A few spritzes of this rather intimate scent as the finishing touch. A lovely gift for those under 20.

Bakery and Coffee Mornings in Paris
You rush through Paris early in the morning with a bouquet of flowers you just bought.

But as you pass one of those typical street cafés, it smells so incredibly delicious from the outside that you can't help but stop and go inside. So much time must be taken.

Inside, it is loud and bustling, a cacophony of voices, sounds of coffee grinders and portafilters being tapped out.

You take a deep breath. The air is warm and dry. It smells of flour with vanilla sugar, cocoa, and freshly ground coffee. Freshly baked croissants and juicy fluffy lemon cakes are just being brought out from the bakery. You order a little something, savor this moment, and carry that feeling into your day.

I tested the scent at Osswald in Zurich on a gray cold summer day. I actually had another fragrance in mind. So, one spray of Paris Cheri on the left, one spray of the aforementioned other scent on the right arm, and I went outside. I always need a bit of time, especially with such high-priced perfumes. The right arm couldn't keep up. I sniffed and sniffed at Paris Cheri and ultimately chose it. Now, on gray autumn days, it transports me to that Paris café atmosphere.

The scent is feminine, dry powdery, citrusy floral, and pleasantly sweet, sophisticated, chic, not too overpowering, making it suitable for the office as well.

For me, it has a similar DNA to the currently hyped Althaïr, but in my opinion, it is more feminine and complex.

The Magic of Contrasts
Oa·se
/oˈaːzə,Oáse/
1. fertile spot with water and lush vegetation in the midst of a desert;
2. place of relaxation.

Both definitions fit Liwa by Widian perfectly. Inspired by the Liwa Oasis in Abu Dhabi, the fragrance takes you on an olfactory journey and offers moments of tranquility, strength & self-confidence. I actually bought the fragrance in Abu Dhabi and then rather coincidentally stayed overnight in the Liwa Oasis (I wasn't aware that the booked desert hotel is located exactly there:), which makes the emotional connection to the perfume even stronger.

My olfactory desert journey to the Liwa Oasis begins in the early morning hours before sunrise:
Saffron, Artemisia, and bergamot convey the cool freshness of the night combined with the invigorating peppery note of freesia, which symbolizes awakening for me. A light sweetness from jasmine releases its enchanting scent, with the flowers still open in the morning.

It gets bright. With each passing hour, the temperatures rise. The air becomes drier. The heat of the midday sun brings amber (which is said to have a calming, stress-reducing effect) and other floral notes of the oasis to life.

Later, when the light becomes softer again and a pleasant warmth settles over the early evening, noble woods and exotic spices release their aroma. Patchouli, oud, sandalwood, vetiver, and cedar form the base and paint the final picture in the oasis.

Saffron remains present throughout the entire experience, accompanied by spiciness and a light floral-fruity sweetness.
I am not familiar with Oud For Greatness, so I cannot make a comparison. I can understand a connection to BR540 - when a spritz of Liwa lands on my scarf, it smells particularly similar the next day, albeit without the medicinal touch and significantly less sweet.

Conclusion: Dreamily beautiful, exclusive, unisex, suitable for all seasons, festive occasions.
