Oud from yesterday!
This fragrance has catapulted Tom Ford into the perfume Olympus!
At that time, the scent was an instant compliment getter, with good sillage and even better longevity.
Over the years, this fragrance has developed into a true masterpiece in its category (Oud), which felt like a must-have for every perfume enthusiast.
However, with the years and sustained success, Oud Wood has evolved through reformulations in a direction that unfortunately compromised its quality.
The ingredients have now reached a level that gives me a slightly synthetic impression.
I also find the Oud note somewhat medicinal now, which ultimately made the fragrance uninteresting for me...
My conclusion is that this fragrance is heading towards the end in its current form.
The popular ingredient Oud seems to be taking a new favored direction with fruity notes like raspberry (Ombre Nomade).
