Why is a "designer fragrance" always regarded with suspicion, when the same is almost idolized in the fashion and jewelry industry ?
Somehow it eludes me the imagination when I separate niche and designer fragrances.
If one throws out a strict look here, then for example Ombre Nomade is a designer fragrance, and the 15€ fragrance of Rasasi a niche fragrance.
Or do you define niche fragrances by the performance ? Then, for example, Le Labo's - Bergamote 22 would be a grab in the loo.
Or can it be that one evaluates fragrances on the basis of their exotic DNA ? Then fragrances like Percival or Xerjoff's Nio would be just as a handle in the loo.
Can it be that one separates that on the basis of the price ?
Why do Tom Ford fragrances partly cost 400€, when a pure perfume house like Lorenzo Villoresi 100ml bottles for 150€ offers.
Is separated on the basis of the ingredients ? Then fragrances like orange blossom or nutmeg sage would have no place in the niche world...

Before I now digress further and ask questions of principle, I would like to devote myself to this wonderful niche or designer fragrance.
Déclaration d'Un Soir of the noble brand Cartier combines basically everything, with which one does not expect.
How should one explain to an outsider Bitteschön, as a pure (men's) fragrance feels, which smells with full force of roses?
For me, this fragrance composition per se hardly gave the opportunity to create any ideas.
Be that as it may, I have ersoukt me a filling of this fragrance, whereby I had first no requirements.
When the souk then arrived, I was already quite curious how my response will turn out.

To the fragrance:
The fragrance I feel as very high quality and unique, the durability can also be seen.
In the opening, you immediately get the magnificent rose bouquet projected, where I can perceive light pepper and nutmeg nuances.
The fragrance is against expectation very masculine, which is why I see this fragrance completely correctly categorized.
The further course is very linear and high-quality.

All in one, this is a high-quality, unique and wonderful fragrance, which also receives consistently good feedback in the environment.

Think me crazy, but Déclaration d'Un Soir is in my mind an absolute niche fragrance, with a unique character ;-)

Like many others, I also stumbled across JF at the beginning of my perfume journey.
Often I have ordered me in the aftermath of his videos one or the other bottle, such as Versace - Eau Fraiche or Mont Blanc - Legend Spirit.
Especially in my head has also remained that the fragrances were in the aftermath at most with sufficient to evaluate.
During this time, the fragrance Aqva Amara by Bulgari was also often promoted, which according to its statement smells like the power of the ocean.
This statement I had then taken as an incentive to find an aquatic fragrance that puts everything in the shade.
Through countless perfumeries I slithered, but with moderate success.
Often I had the impression that the aquatic fragrances were very synthetic, whereby I must particularly emphasize Megamare by Orto Parisi as a chemical club.
When I then came one day to the realization that I do not find to my ideas, I entered a perfumery, which also TF distributed.
As often usual with TF, the Crowdpleaser like Tobacco Vanilla, Tuscan Leather or Oud Wood are preferably offered.
When I then glimpsed the bottle of Oud Minerale, it had piqued my interest, despite difficult imagination about it.
When I put a spray on my wrist, I was in shock infatuation!
It surpassed my expectations of finding a perfect aquatic fragrance.

Now when the JF quote "The Strength of the Ocean" pops into my head, it is definitely Oud Minerale.

If you like one, you like them all, that is the basic conclusion to the house of PDM.
I have also been influenced by this opinion, I have tried Layton, Pegasus, Herod and also Carlisle.
All of these fragrances are somehow similar, but still independently built.

When I then came across Kalan, the curiosity knew no bounds ;-)
The fragrance arrived, and my first thought was.... yes, this is the twin of MFK's flagship BR540.
Over the next few days, I had the pleasure of "breaking down" this fragrance into their component parts several times.
Peu a peu, the fragrance evolved in my perception into an incredibly great and warm direction, which scores with incredible performance.
Yes, the fragrance has slight synthetic nuances, but still this is an incredible fragrance experience!

For me, Kalan is the draught horse from the house Parfums de Marly, which does not need to hide from Herod or even Layton!

Short recommendation:
To all men who love Baccarat Rouge....buys Kalan, which is the masculine "twin".

The Merchant of Venice is an Italian perfume house that has unfortunately gained little attention until now.
If you get reviews from Italian perfume houses, then these are Tiziana Terenzi or Xerjoff.
Unbiased I got me a bottling to form an opinion on the Tobacco Vanilla twin.
Initially I feel a very penetrating and sweet note (probably plum), which reminds me strangely of Baccarat Rouge.
In the drydown, the tobacco / cinnamon nuances increase more and more, which is why the fragrance takes on an oriental base, as you would imagine or even wish.
H/S are outstanding!

If Floriental of CdG lt. JF is the Arabian prince, then this is the Arabian king/queen!

This is the fragrance that actually makes me despair.

On the one hand, a truly wintry-sweet cinnamon vanilla dream, with fine spicy nuances.
On the other hand, a dirty musk-patchouli scent, which reminds me partly of a horse saddle.

This fragrance is so penetrating and at the same time so greadlinig, as I have rarely perceived it in a fragrance.
Also the reactions resemble a roller coaster, I have yet from "wonderful" to "disgusting" almost everything possible as a response received...

Nichtdestotrotz is this fragrance what very special, which I do not want to miss.
As a suitable carrier I imagine a guy who implements his ideas and desires brachial.
