matured for 44 years-it was worth it!
The fragrance was handed to me with the words "This is a vintage oud from the 70s." handed to me.
I thought I knew what oud smelled like, but this was something completely different. Something completely new.
A pleasantly fresh animalic - like a herd of cows in the distance, their scent carried to you by a light sea breeze over green meadows. Wonderful!
The oud maturation was really worth it.
I fell in love immediately.
If you like the smell of oud, you should definitely give this one a try. I find it much more pleasant and suitable for everyday use than many oud stinkers and much less oppressive than the sweet oud compositions. I am delighted that the vanilla is very much in the background here and that the rose has nothing of rose candy about it.

Shoot!
One of the strongest fragrances I've had the pleasure of testing - lasted for weeks on the paper strip.
I couldn't smell any ingredients in Shem. There was just this intense smell that penetrated my brain-nothing subtle, nothing subtle, just this pang-I was hooked.
Friends and family reacted to the paper strip as follows: "Yuck!", "Nah!", "What's that?"
On the wrist, however:
"Mmh!", "Ouh!", "Wow!"
I wouldn't describe the fragrance as particularly sophisticated, just great. I've never smelled anything like it before. Many other fragrances trigger associations, images or even stories, this one just smells amazing. How? I have no idea. GIVE ME MORE!

Cuddle up in luxury
A fragrance that enchanted me the first time I smelled it. It goes in a completely different direction to all the fragrances I usually rave about.
Saffron, sandalwood and amber are very noticeable, but there's something else that I can't explain based on the ingredients: A sweetish fruitiness that is almost too much for me after wearing it several times. One of my previous reviewers wrote about punchiness, which I can only agree with.

Somehow delicious. You drink one glass after another and then it's too much and you drag yourself through the evening in search of wing chairs.
1888-Luxury and comfort-for the evening and the intimate get-together. Warm, sweet, elegant and a little bit grandmotherly and therefore minimally unsexy. It invites you to cuddle up by candlelight, but nothing more.

I can't get the following picture out of my head:

Undoubtedly a very good fragrance, but this sweet sense of security, this endlessly warm, insanely expensive blanket falls on your head over time.

Since 1888, I have been craving fresher fragrances again.

Mysterious moorland landscape
The scent of the ancestors. Moorland landscape. Wisps of mist everywhere. Cracking in the undergrowth.
A shaman brews her magic potion and sings a lonely song. A wild, untamed scent. Raw, peaty, beguiling - like a good whisky.
Definitely an uncompromising fragrance full of mysticism. A perfume for nature-loving, thoughtful people.

An unusual fragrance
Without question juicy and delicious. A little bitter and grassy. A gigantic floating prickly pear towers over everything. I would love to bite into it or drink this scent, but I'm still not sure if it's a good body scent. It doesn't cling to the skin - it doesn't connect with you. It stands on its own-just like the prickly pear above the mountain lake.
