Upon learning of this release, deep down I was eagerly anticipating something groundbreaking and out of the box to add to my collection…perhaps something similar to what Dior did with the Sauvage Elixir.

Fast forward to today, I just got home from Macy’s where I sprayed this on a test strip to compare it with the other flankers that I own; I’ve found it to be almost identical to the Parfum and the Eau de Parfum. Honestly, I didn’t smell the Oud whatsoever.

Not going to lie I’m a little disappointed. This doesn’t smell bad by any means it’s just not what I was hoping for. I think I’ll pass!

The iris fad is in full effect. However, out of the Givenchy Gentleman line that I own, I like this one the least; I would much rather reach for Boisée or Privée before grabbing this. But that’s not to say this is bad by any means. I honestly believe Gentleman Givenchy EDT Intense shares striking similarities to Jean Paul Gaultier Le Beau the second and is definitely gear more towards warmer temperatures.

Given how much I enjoy the original as well as Bleu Électrique, when I saw this for sale on eBay I couldn’t resist. Despite the significant price gouging I incurred, I’m happy with my purchase. Hindsight is 20/20 and I must say that the hype behind this one is well warranted, La Nuit de L’homme Frozen is far superior to the other flankers in the line.

I received a decant of this with the purchase of another fragrance. I didn’t pay any mind to it until the other day I came across it in a drawer. I instantly fell in love with the citrus, lavender, and wood notes. Long story short I ordered a bottle and embarked my journey into niche fragrances. In addition, I also ordered a decant of Amyris Homme Extrait de Parfum to try that as well.

To me this smells very very similar to Chanel Allure Homme Sport at around half the cost. Doesn’t last quite as long or project quite as well as Chanel but at a price point like that, who cares? Just overspray and enjoy.

Another honorable mention would be to say that it’s the same but different as Versace Man Eau Fraîche giving off that warm weather, fresh and clean, hot summer day kind of vibe. Its score at 7.9 is adequate for what it is, a simple yet elegant Versace fragrance!
