I had really high hopes for this one…
…because it was repeatedly compared to Dior Homme Eau (which is one of my absolutely favorite scents).
I scoured the earth to find it, and immediately tore it open when I did. 5 shots (2 to the sides of the neck, 1 to the back, and 1 on each wrist), and I was on my way.
Immediately I was greeted with a very dry, yet waxy feeling makeup vibe. Nothing at all like Dior Homme Eau. While it was a lipstick feeling, I really wouldn’t compare it to the other DH scents either.
It’s not a bad scent, it’s just that I was hoping for something similar to DHE, and the only thing this one has in common is the color of the juice.
Performance wise, the projection is thick and solid, but restrained to within a 3ft or so projection bubble. Sillage is there as well, for 3 hours or so, and the overall longevity isn’t bad, lasting 6+ hours as a skin scent after the first 3-4 hours have passed.
If you like Iris, you’ll probably want to have a look at this one. It’s definitely prominent, but also know that it’s that lipstick-esque feeling Iris that you’re going to get.
Again, I don’t dislike it, nor do I regret buying it, but it is nothing like the Dior Homme Eau scent. To each their own.
