My nose turns away and then it goes?!
I ordered a 10ml bottle because I wanted to test the fragrance extensively during my visit to the capital and possibly wear it in the evening. I know a few Amouage fragrances and thought after all the hype about it, it would at least be good for the test track, even if it doesn't become my favorite fragrance. Then at least I'll be super trendy with this water on my skin for a short time. But unfortunately (or rather thankfully) it hasn't made it onto my skin yet or I haven't let it ;-( You can tell immediately that this is the "beast" genus. So all disciples who look up to this fragrance and promise themselves "guidance" can look forward to a performer. I sprayed it on a test strip and put it on the shelf in my dressing room (that's where my perfume store is). You could smell it everywhere on the floor and when I threw the strip away, the scent still hung in the air forever (to my detriment) and wouldn't go away. I then sprayed it on my skin out of excitement and came to a different conclusion.

Now to the fragrance and how it smells to me:

- Test strip: super unpleasant, intense, mixture of rancid, flea collar and then this incense, who does that??? I'll be sick to my stomach if I don't smell something else soon

- Skin: No connection to the test strip experience. Smells kind of almondy-cherry Christmassy (huh?) and quite pleasant when you're in that mood (but at the beginning of the year I'm honestly more drawn to anything that has to do with spring, freshness and sun). I get scent-blind ultra-fast when I smell it directly. If I move my arm, a hint of something indefinable always wafts past, but I can't describe the components.

In conclusion, a very strange and contradictory fragrance experience... The fragrance is really very multi-faceted, probably has an interesting progression and everything, but it defeated my nose. I can't keep up with it. Of the few positive olfactory impressions I was able to perceive, there was no wow moment that would justify investigating the fragrance further, so that you might get rooted in and fall in love after the umpteenth sniff.

A pity somehow, but a lot of money saved :)
