Only Women on the Wishlist!
"Melkmeisje"... I had been circling around this perfume for a while due to Apicius's comment! And I'm glad I did!

The scent from the Dutch circles smells really delicious, and I don't have to travel far for it! What does the fragrance offer? Clearly a delicate vanilla with a hint of sandalwood and perhaps musk! Although it's hardly detectable! Thank you, Baruti! That it wasn't commented on further! Maybe it would have turned out negatively!

Men! Dare to approach this fragrance, unfortunately, I have no more lines for you!

I feel like the Messiah
What a fragrance! It's not something brutal, which I usually like... no! Something light, something simple, yet so complex!

Thanks to Pepper81 for the generous sample, I guess I have to put in some effort for the comment! It should be easy given the number of comments, but due to the perfume, it becomes difficult.

"Aventure" pleases from the very first moment! Lightly citrusy at the beginning, it quickly drifts into a slightly smoky layer. Already wonderful, I think, as a smoke fan! The smoke is supported by various floral touches, jasmine, yes, lavender, yes, both can be present, but they are so well intertwined with the incense. Those are also the notes that accompany the fragrance until the end; from then on, there’s not much development for me!
Maybe a bit of vetiver at the end, that could be!

Apicius mentions Lanvin's "Arpege" as a comparison fragrance... he is right about that, but somehow also not, "Aventure" is indeed a unique scent that is better, but at the same time also hits the wallet a bit harder!

Regardless, a wish is made for this great fragrance, true perfume art!

Edit: In the drydown and also throughout the entire scent journey, I believe!! to perceive a certain rose, which may be a bit of imagination! If that's the case... there are still the three-digit percentages! Wonderful!

A Lie!
"Eau Intense" is a fragrance that I have repeatedly postponed commenting on. I bought the 100ml bottle blind on the auction site, and unfortunately, I can't remember the price, but it was acceptable for a blind buy.

Now, let's talk about the bottle. I think it's wonderful, although a bit awkward when spraying, but beautifully solid and heavy. You really have to press down a few times on each side to get a scent, which is why I think it's a lie to call the fragrance "Intense." Because it’s not that intense, but rather pleasantly subtle.

Rodier's perfume starts off slightly sharp; basil and violet could both be good candidates for the beginning. In the first moments, the top note remains present! The fragrance develops very slowly, which is completely atypical for a top note to stay so long. But that doesn't mean it's bad.

After a while, you suddenly perceive nothing at all; you would prefer to reach for the bottle again, but you should resist! Because eventually, a beautifully subtle woody vetiver accord develops, reminiscent of the typical representatives from Hermes and the like.

Unfortunately, I wear it quite rarely due to the weak sillage, but in warmer temperatures, it’s a good companion for an evening in the beer garden.

Jacomo has hit the mark!
At the end of last year, I made another blind buy; when the bottle is offered for around €20 for 100ml, you can click the blind buy button!

And I did everything right again! "Jacomo de Jacomo" is once again a tailor-made fragrance, especially for me! While I cannot understand the comment from Apicius, completely different notes come to my mind. There is nothing southern about it at all. I also cannot register the notes that are listed!

"Jacomo de Jacomo" starts with a slight citrus note for the briefest moment when you spray it. Then, the perfume consists solely of two dominating notes... a certain leather note and an even more dominant rubber note! It smells really, really good. Masculine, striking, classy!

For the money, I can once again recommend a blind buy! The sillage and longevity are also great!

Initial Disinterest
"Hommage a l'Homme" has been in my perfume cabinet since yesterday. Due to the low price for the 100ml, it was a blind buy!

And the new addition to my Lalique collection is somehow a "late bloomer"! I wore it last night, this morning during the early shift, and then sprayed it on again after work, and the beginning just keeps slipping away. You spray "Hommage a l'Homme" on and simply don't care about it anymore... but why?

Could it be that it is "invisible" to the wearer? Especially with new fragrances, I usually get a continuous stream of the new scent in my nose, but not with Hommage! Three to four hours pass where you can already say that it is not worth the money, with absolutely no projection.

But just at the moment when you want to give up on it, it takes off... and how it does that!

A wonderfully creamy scent wafts into the nose, it's really good and I feel wonderfully enveloped by Hommage. There is definitely musk present, which creates the dominant creamy note. The musk might be supported by oud and violet. Ah, how lovely!

With the notes mentioned last, it slowly fades away. Due to the bottle design, the comments, and the "initial disinterest," I almost would have put it in the "boring light breeze" category, but the good Hommage just needs its time to maintain interest...
