Surprising transformation
The first time I smelled it, it didn't quite convince me on the test strip, it had something slightly pungent and difficult about it for me, but with AlD fragrances it's worth sniffing more often. You have to learn the fragrances to some extent. It's simply art.

Then later applied to the skin and it was a kind of revelation. What was previously perceived as a pungent scent really worked well on the skin and turned into something positive, as if it was spicing up my own skin scent.

I detected osmanthus, other flowers and spices and in the background it had something of a campfire, of this burnt wood, but not too strong.

I already notice the typical AlD DNA, but somehow it is also different, so it has changed from a problem child to something valuable for me. Further tests are still to come, you have to give these fragrances some time.

Suitable for summer
Of the new attars, I knew that this one would have to be the most suitable for summer in terms of ingredients, even if it has a certain heaviness.

It was one of the most pleasant surprises. Rose and other flowers come through at the beginning. It's authentic, it has something. For me, it's the most suitable for everyday wear in the range.

Good work with a disruptive factor
I had high hopes for it, as the first one was also rated quite well and I liked the ingredients and Russian Adam's artwork.

It seems really antique, it's well made and also round with the patchouli, but it just has this disturbing note for me, which I know from Sultan al Oud by Bortnikoff (only there it is even stronger) it has this straw barn stable note with musty wood, which I most likely associate with Hindi oud, but it doesn't contain it at all. It could also be something else, such as certain combinations that have this disturbing note for me.

The fragrance would be really great for me. Spices also come through, citrus barely present.

I'll try it again in winter.

Successful remake
First :-p

The gift box with the attars arrived today. I'll venture a review now. I think War and Peace 3 as an attar is actually more rounded than War and Peace 2.

At first I had reservations about the Indian oud, but what can I say, it doesn't stand out negatively and it doesn't have that special hay-cowshed note with rotten wood, as I know it from other fragrances that have too much of this note.

The civet also rounds the whole thing off well and somehow it has an alcoholic note for me.

A well-rounded thing, I will definitely keep the Attar, for me the better War and Peace.

Wild and noble
I'm currently testing the fragrances from Amoage, I'd say it's not for the inexperienced.

This one is really balanced for my nose. I can clearly detect cognac grapefruit and cumin. Animalic too, but smooth, not too strong, as has also been reported here.

Definitely oriental and some people will be reminded of the spice cabinet. I think you also notice the quality of the fragrances here, which is a given at Amouage.

Also not an inconspicuous office fragrance, as is the case with Reflection Man or Lyric Man.

The best Amouage for me is Jubilation 25, then unfortunately comes Reflection Man (even if it is so hyped, it is unfortunately good) and Lyric Man, which are more suitable for everyday use. After that come Overture Man and Journey Man, which are really creative and unique, but more daring.
