Inverno Russo is a well-refined creamy, floral, musky scent
Inverno Russo - This olfactory journey begins with a captivating opening that features a lovely blend of Omani frankincense, black pepper, and roses, all accompanied by a touch of green accord. The initial impression is a warm, floral sensation that gently leads into the heart of the scent.
As the fragrance unfolds, I am enveloped in a deep, rich floral bouquet with intriguing animalic facets. It feels like osmanthus, champaka, civet, roses, plumeria, clove, cardamom, frankincense, and Indian sandalwood are all holding a harmonious meeting at the front of my nose, thanks to the lingering warmth of the florals.
In the drydown, the scent settles into a sweet balsamic resin, creamy sandalwood, musk, and woody aromatic notes. I also noticed the whiff of something like cold incense towards the drydown that I couldn't figure out, which perfectly embodies the name of the fragrance. All these elements come together to form a beautifully balanced composition.
