Back to the Basics
I got this for half off. Fluffy and sugary vanilla that smells slightly synthetic at times, not much else. It's fine and even seems to last a decent amount of time on me (but then again, most vanillas do on me). I'll keep it on hand to sweeten up other perfumes and for the days I can't justify using my expensive perfumes.
Just Fine
Picked this up for an absolute steal on fragrancenet. I think my review would be very different if I paid full price, but as is this is fine. I don't pick up on the fruity top notes, to me this is a jumble of clean, almost soapy jasmine and rose. After a few hours I get the oakmoss, which gives it an extra umph. Just a touch of sweetness. Reminds me of soap or shampoo for some reason. Like most clean reserve perfumes, this doesn't last super long or have super good projection. It'll be a good work perfume due to how demure and inoffensive it is.
Very Unique
Despite being named “strawberry mochi,” the strawberry takes a back seat to the extremely realistic glutinous rice and red bean paste accords. After a few hours I do pick up on the sweeter notes, which give it a more wearable almost floral quality, but overall this comes across as smelling exactly like the skin of a red bean mochi. A gourmand that’s not overly sweet. Sillage is more subtle but does last surprisingly long on clothes (6 hours).
